Upskilling Day!

Today I had the pleasure of taking part in a leather tooling course with Philippa Davidson Leather, exploring techniques and refining skills in the ancient craft of leather tooling.

Tooling is something I've always enjoyed and regularly incorporate into my work to personalise pieces and create unique, one-of-a-kind designs. Beyond decoration, leather tooling has a rich history, serving as a symbol of craftsmanship, resilience, identity, and cultural heritage for generations.

Riedel Bolero Pouch- after many hours research, design development, material sourcing and feedback from a number of department heads, the final design was agreed upon. Here's the completed prototype for the new Riedel communications system used by crew and members of the backstage team at the Royal Ballet and Opera.
Functional, practical, lightweight, secure, durable, handmade in London.
