How is it September already!!!

Our first event for the autumn is this stellar offering from Wilterland Productions ❤️

1519. The city of Metz in France. The notorious Cornelius Agrippa achieves the impossible in court: defending a woman accused of witchcraft against the Inquisition and securing her acquittal. The only recorded instance of its kind in history. Soldier, scholar, doctor and rumored sorcerer, his name echoed around Europe. But the hatred of the Roman Church would also follow…

This is Wilderland Production's first play and has been receiving rave reviews: 'Amazing presence…innate understanding of tempo…I want to say I think it is an extraordinary piece…'

We are counting down the days to Ken Armstrong's new play on Thurs 1 and Fri 2 Oct 👏👏👏

Castlebar Musical and Dramatic Society, in association with Big Splash Productions, presents the world premiere of Ken's new dark comedy, Achill Sound.

The play follows Elaine, an interviewer conducting a national study on rural isolation, whose work takes her to some of the most remote farms in Mayo. But one unexpected encounter has the potential to change her life forever.

Directed by Kenn McLaughlin and brought to life by an award-winning cast, Achill Sound promises a gripping blend of humour and suspense.

With Ken's productions selling out year after year, early booking is highly recommended!!!

Sincere thank you to everyone who attended the launch of A Syndicate* by A. Hunt last Friday which incorporated a live performance by the artist, along with artists Sophie Longwill and Sophie Hutchinson.

Drawing on an artistic inquiry of expansive relational frameworks, A. Hunt’s practice unpacks questions of proximity, attention, and support from both an infrastructural and embodied vantage point. Traversing Sculpture, Installation, and Live Art, this work abstractly rehearses ‘togethering’ beyond Hegemonic (Capitalist and Heteronormative) organizational agendas, both from a researched and lived point of view in the artist’s life.

Full details on the exhibition are available via the link in our stories.

A. Hunt is an artist working at the intersection of Sculpture and Live Art, based in Ireland and Finland since 2019.

The exhibition runs until Sat 5 Oct, is free to experience and all are welcome.

by Helen Norton and Jonathan White

Join us for this subversively funny take on Oscar Wilde’s 'The Importance of Being Earnest' returns for a 10th anniversary tour, having sold out previous runs in Ireland & the UK.

This is the play behind the play: a tale of blackmail, embezzlement and false identity.

The show is selling out around the country - don't miss out: https://www.thelinenhall.com/whats-on/events/to-hell-in-a-handbag
