𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀

Carlow County Council Public Art Working Group invite Artists to tender for this new Public Art Commission under the Fáilte Ireland Developed & Emerging Destination Towns Capital Investment Programme (2019).
This competition seeks to elicit the most creative, compelling, artistically excellent, and outstanding proposal for this Public Art project which will be situated in Carlow Town Park.

Timescale: Stage 1 deadline 4pm May 19th 2022
Budget: €75,000

Applications are sought from artists with a proven track record of public art commissions. We ask that artists respond to the agreed aims of the commission and read the artist brief carefully as all information is contained within this.

**CASTING CALL: CARLOW PORTRAITS ***

VISUAL are actively recruiting for 'Carlow Portraits', a created by film-maker Tadhg O'Sullivan. They are looking for people aged 70+ from all backgrounds and corners of county Carlow.
This project will consist of a series of video portraits. Tadhg is asking each participant to give 30 minutes of their time to sit and have their portrait filmed by Tadhg, while also having a chat about whatever they feel like talking about – their life, their passions, their pet hates, their achievements…wherever the conversation takes them. This will result in a video installation in VISUAL later this year.

EXTRAS CASTING CALL

Clocktower Productions is seeking roles for the motion picture project entitled “Disenchanted,” a new feature-length motion picture project to be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, filming in Dublin, Ireland between May and August 2021. Clocktower is committed to diverse, inclusive casting.
Submissions for non-descript roles will be accepted for all performers, regardless of age, s*x, ethnicity, disability, race, color, national origin, s*xual orientation or gender identity or any other basis prohibited by law, subject to legitimate casting objectives.

is here and this week, after the thrills of 'Pirates are Coming' and the over-exuberance of 'The Spyglass' we felt it only right to take it down a notch or two, and bring you all back to the heart of the story: Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver. The whole story spins around these two souls and where better to start than the moment they bond over their love of the sea.

This day last year should have been the Official Album Launch of our cast recording, and though the wind was firmly knocked out of those sails by a global pandemic, we are so proud of what everyone achieved and it is a joy to share these videos with the world. Just like Jim and Silver, The Call of the [Theatre] is strong within us all and we can't wait until we can be back together again.
