As the dust settles on another pool festival we can now reflect on the week.

Carlow sent 4 teams this year 2 men's teams, a ladies team and an O50s team, a testament to the work done to have a second Carlow men's team and our first ever ladies team competing. These small victories alone mean alot to the committee and show the regrowth in the county.

Our men's A team narrowly missed out in the junior shield final losing in a decider 10-9 to Limerick. The B team lost out in the Junior B shield last 16. Our ladies also lost in the prelim game of the shield but a big effort was made for their first year playing and competing. The O50s narrowly missed out on getting out of the group with a few new faces to competitive pool also.

In singles action John Lawlor claimed the Junior singles All-Ireland title on Sunday night showing the individual class is still running through Carlow making it 3 years in a row a Carlow player won an individual All-Ireland title.

An extremely proud season for Carlow, everyone gave their full effort and can only learn from these experiences, the committee would like to express their gratitude to all the players, sponsors and supporters this year, all the positivity makes doing our jobs worthwhile. We hope to see you all for the new season starting very soon 🟥🟨🟩

Congratulations to Carlows John Lawlor winning the Junior singles last night in his usual rapid yet calm fashion. John played brilliantly all week and is a deserving champion. It also adds to the Junior B singles titles picked up by Ger O'Mara two years ago and Dave Earle last year meaning Carlow have had a singles winner at the all-Irelands for 3 years in a row 🟥🟨🟩
