✨ It's been one week since the magical 2026 Carlow Arts Festival wrapped up. We are so overjoyed and grateful to everyone who came and enjoyed Carlow Arts Festival 2026. ✨

None of this is possible without the amazing artists and musicians who left us spellbound with their great shows and concerts.

A special thanks to all our volunteers and production team who helped to create such a great edition of the festival this year.
We couldn’t do it without our supporters, funders and partners. A massive thank you to all of you, too.

We are proud to deliver such a large programme for free and to engage so many local people in what we do. If you can, please do donate to help us ensure we can continue to do this again in the future.

Your donations will allow us to bring more exceptional shows, workshops and participatory opportunities to the festival in the near future and ensure we can offer amazing experiences to audiences and participants alike for free.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of friend and colleague Dermot Mulligan. He was instrumental in safeguarding and promoting Carlow's history and heritage. Dermot was an incredibly kind, intelligent person and was always happy to see you and will be greatly missed.

Last week, Tony Davis & Patrick Fitzgerald, Carlow Arts Festival's newest employees, led their second in-person workshop, as part of the Our Place project, with a group at Delta Sensory Gardens Carlow 2025. They discussed their human rights and recorded sounds that represented those rights.

On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we recognise that the arts as a sector has a lot of work to do to become more inclusive and supportive of people with disabilities. Carlow Arts Festival are excited to be on this journey to learn and make changes in how we work with the Our Place team.

The Our Place team includes lead artists AlanJames Burns and Sinead McCann, and co-designers Patrick Fitzgerald and Tony Davis, supported by staff at St John of God Liffey Services Dublin.

This project is kindly supported by the from Rethink Ireland.
