Job Description
The Barracks is a well-established, contemporary and vibrant venue with a warm and welcoming ambience and is a popular spot for watching sport and for live music and entertainment.
We are currently inviting applications for a Fulltime Permanent Manager to join the team at The Barracks. Key responsibilities include the day to day running of the venue, management of stock, staff, quality and customer service, entertainment and party nights. Suitable applicants will have strong management skills, possess a "can do" attitude and will be keen to take on responsibility and grow the business.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Effective communication to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the bar operation
Management, training and team development with the aim of retaining current customers, attracting new customers, growing the business and improving profitability
Liaison with senior management, provision of feedback on the effectiveness of policies and procedures and proposing service and product improvements
Accurate daily reporting
Maintenance of an exceptionally high standard of hygiene, and health and safety
Effective stock control
Liaison with the marketing team for business development
Ensure all maintenance issues are reported in a timely fashion
Candidate Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years’ bar management experience
In-Depth knowledge and understanding of the pub trade
Ability to recognise new opportunities and trends
Strong people management and leadership skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure
High energy and enthusiasm for the business
IT literacy with strong numerical skills
