Ava is a fantastic part of the Waterworld team, and seeing her take part in such a special event is something we’re all excited to support. Her confidence, kindness and bright personality make her a wonderful ambassador for the area.

We are delighted to introduce Ava Jean Anderson, who will proudly represent Waterworld Bundoran in the Donegal Rose of Tralee selection 2026.

Originally from Ballintra, Ava Jean is currently studying Law at Ulster University and has a strong passion for athletics, sport, and inspiring young people. A talented athlete, she has achieved multiple national titles and podium finishes in throwing events, represented Ulster at the Tailteann Games, and has twice been named Athlete of the Year within her club and age group.

Alongside her sporting achievements, Ava Jean has worked with Waterworld Bundoran for the past three years and is a qualified lifeguard with a love for the outdoors, surfing, and swimming. Her confidence, ambition, and positive attitude make her a wonderful ambassador for both Waterworld Bundoran and County Donegal.

Tonight, Waterworld shines bright in support of everyone taking part in the Darkness Into Light walk. 💛

As walkers make their way through Bundoran before sunrise, we’re proud to leave our lights on as a symbol of hope, community, and support for those impacted by su***de and self-harm.

No one should walk through darkness alone.
