Winning "Best New Society" at the ITB Clubs and Socs ball 2012, The Harry Potter Society has grown a large amount over the past 2 years. Being the first Harry Potter Society in any college in Ireland it has lead to a large spread of Harry Potter societies in such colleges as NUIG, NUIM, and NCI. Introducing our first guests for Potterfest 2016...

Members of Team Starkid... Brian Holden and Meredith Stepien!

TeamStarkid is a Chicago-based musical theatre company best known for A Very Potter Musical, a parody of the Harry Potter series. The musical was a viral hit, inspiring two sequels and clocking up 12 million views on Youtube. The troupe produces musical-comedies inspired by pop culture, with original scripts, songs, and music.

Brian Holden (Starkid co-founder, who plays Remus Lupin, the Basilisk and Hagrid) and Meredith Stepien (Hermione Granger) will be taking part in an exclusive panel and will be available for autographs and photographs with guests. There will also be sing-a-long over the course of the weekend, featuring Harry Potter-inspired hits such as “Goin’ Back to Hogwarts”, “Granger Danger” and “Harry Freakin’ Potter”.

Pre-reg tickets go on sale tomorrow at http://socsbox.nuigalway.ie

And don't forget that the first two hundred people to pre-register will receive an exclusive free gift and a Hogwarts acceptance letter.
