Thanks to everyone who came out to our sold out Farewell Show on Friday! The show was in the upstairs room at Bar Eile, where we hosted the very first Giggles Open Mic - how poetic!

The crowd was both lively and lovely and all the acts killed! Could not have asked for a better show to cap off our two year run.

Couldn’t ask for a better lineup for our Farewell Show this Friday, February 9th! It consists of our fan fave acts, friends of the show, and comedians with close ties to Giggles (e.g. did their first gig with us!)

Plus, we were able to land the wonderful as our headliner!

Bar Eile is closing next week and Giggles will be shutting down with it.

We had a good run! I started Giggles two years ago with since there was a need for more open mics on the scene. It grew a loyal base of comedians and comedy fans, consistently filling up the lineups and frequently packing the room. It became known as one of the few shows in Dublin where comedians felt comfortable failing - a necessity in comedy.

In May of last year I started a monthly “pro” show with the help of , which developed its own following and had momentum and ambitions coming into 2024.

But what I’m most proud of is that at least two dozen comedians performed their first gig ever at Giggles (a daunting experience), and several dozen more performed one of their first few. Many of those folks are now rising stars on the scene.

The open mic is on as scheduled Tuesday the 6th, and I’ll be hosting a Farewell Show on Friday the 9th with some of our fave acts and friends of the club (it’s free, link in bio for tix).

The club may resurface at another venue in the future (so don’t unfollow this page!)

*some people’s favourite….ok 1 person’s.

P.S. the Giggles social media team had to sift through hundreds of photos until it found one with Bill and the audience laughing.

Wishing everybody a healthy and hilarious 2024! No open mic tomorrow (Jan 2nd), it’ll start back up on Tuesday the 9th. Giggles Live pro show will return in February as showrunner will be out of the country most of January.

It’s gonna be a great year for Giggles -whether you’re a comedian or a comedy fan, we hope to see ya soon at Bar Eile!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our sold out Christmas show last week! What a fun, festive night! Hot crowd per usual, and killer comedians!

This was our last show of the year - thanks to everyone who supported Giggles in 2023!

Our Giggles Live shows will continue in February and we have big plans for 2024, stay tuned.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, enjoy some well deserved time off and look forward to bringing you laughs in 2024!
