Well done to my amazing bunch of dancers for their fantastic results, including open championship wins, treble reel competition wins, grading into open for the first time, getting out of bungrad, they achieved so much and danced their hearts out. 👏🏼

This weekend was everything I love about Irish Dancing and the proudest I’ve ever been of my school. The 10th Anniversary Ballinrobe Championships appreciation post is coming later, but it was a double weekend of celebrations to see my dancers perform for the Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney in Westport. I’m the proudest Mayo man there is, and this is why dancing is so, so much more than just results and titles. Well done Dáire, Jonah, Theo and Kerrie for putting on a world class performance for the Prime Minister and also our Taoiseach Micheál Martin and a whole host of dignitaries and the world’s media. 🇨🇦
