I have won several awards in woodturning.I produce Functional non Functional and Artistic pieces. Almost all of the wood I use, comes from storm felled trees or trees removed for a particular reason which are primarily native Irish. For example, an Elm tree was given to me once, and the lady told me it had been planted by her mother when she was a very young girl. It had come down in a storm caus

ing alot of sadness to the family, and rather than burn it she thought it might be of use to me. In return I created an individual piece for each member of the family, thus giving the tree a new lease of life. My work is available to purchase from my gallery, by appointment only.
