We’re delighted to welcome an incredible lineup of GAA voices for a special evening of insight, stories, and analysis!

Cora Staunton – An 11-time All-Star, four-time All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football champion with Mayo, AFLW player, and one of the greatest scorers the game has seen. Cora will discuss elite performance, resilience, leadership, and the continued growth of women’s football.

Aidan Kilcoyne – Former Mayo forward known for his pace, creativity, and impact in championship football. Aidan will bring his experience of attacking play, dressing-room culture, and the mental challenges of inter-county football.

Nigel Reape – A highly respected figure in Gaelic Games with extensive experience in coaching, club development, and grassroots promotion. Nigel will provide valuable insight into player development and the future of the game.

Brian Benson – Experienced coach and analyst with a deep understanding of tactics, systems, and player development. Brian will offer an analytical look at modern football, championship trends, and tactical battles.

Shane Walsh – Current Galway forward, All-Star winner and Connacht champion. Shane will provide a current player’s perspective on preparation, recovery, pressure, and what it takes to compete at the highest level today.

Expect honest opinions, behind-the-scenes stories, championship insights, and plenty of craic with some of the biggest names in Gaelic football.

As the curtain falls on another fantastic Ballina Salmon Festival, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the 2026 festival such a wonderful success.

To our dedicated committee members and the many sub-committees who gave countless hours of their time throughout the year, thank you. Your commitment, ideas and hard work are the foundation of this festival.

To our incredible volunteers, thank you for your enthusiasm, generosity and willingness to lend a hand wherever it was needed. You are the heart of the festival.

A sincere thank you to the staff of Ballina Tourist Office, whose professionalism, support and tireless efforts ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
