Delighted to have my Turquoise Silk Scarf presented to Ms. Geraldine Byrne, the Irish Ambassador of Ireland to the United States of America last week at the Milwaukee Irish Fest.
Meath County Council, in partnership with Boyne Valley Tourism, was thrilled to participate in the Milwaukee Irish Fest — the largest Irish music festival in the world! With over 140,000 attendees from diverse backgrounds, this incredible event provided us with a unique platform to showcase our rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and the hidden gems of the Boyne Valley. We were especially delighted to connect with the Irish diaspora and share the stories of Meath's vibrant history and traditions, fostering pride among those with ancestral ties to
our beautiful region. A special highlight was welcoming the Ambassador of Ireland to the United States of America, Ms. Geraldine Byrne, who is also a native of the Boyne Valley! It was a wonderful opportunity to share our ongoing tourism initiatives with her. We also had the honour of meeting festival board member Colleen Kennedy, whose roots trace back to Carlanstown. Together, we hope to build strategic partnerships that will elevate the profile of the Boyne Valley even further! Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and supported us at the festival!
