Yesterday we opened Life from the Corner of My Room in Shanghai.

It feels a bit strange to see something that started from a small room in Indonesia, now standing inside the Old City Hall at the Bund.

I never really try to make people understand every story inside the paintings.
I’m more interested in whether the feeling can travel.

Thank you to everyone who came, looked closely, asked questions, stayed for a while, or simply passed through the room.

And thank you BamBam for receiving one of the works.

Not everything we see arrives as a complete reality.
Sometimes it begins as a signal fragmented, unfamiliar, yet strangely recognizable.

Primordial Signal explores the moment before meaning fully forms. A space where the eye captures fragments, and the mind instinctively starts constructing its own reality.

This work is part of an ongoing exploration of perception, ambiguity, and the way consciousness translates visual information into something we call “real.”

Because perhaps we never truly see the world as it is only as we are able to interpret it.
