Your partner should be your best friend… right? 💘

We met Cande from Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 while she was exploring Ubud and asked her about being single, destiny and what she really wants in a partner.

She’s been single for a few years and isn’t completely convinced destiny exists when it comes to love… but she knows what she’s looking for.

Someone who’s her best friend in everything.
Her ride or die. ❤️

And maybe that’s what finding the right person is really about — meeting someone you’d choose as your best friend even before calling them your partner.

Do you agree? Should your partner also be your best friend? 👇

“I don’t believe in destiny… actually, of course I do.” 😂💘

We asked three friends visiting Ubud whether they believe in destiny when it comes to love — and one answer changed very quickly when he remembered his girlfriend might see this. 😂

But when it came to what really matters in a relationship, they were much more certain:

✨ Loyalty
✨ Respect
✨ Honesty
✨ Trust

So what do you think — are some people destined to meet, or is love something we choose and build? 🌙

Tell us in the comments 👇

What really makes love last? 💘

Giovana has been single for two and a half years — and when we asked if she believes in destiny when it comes to love, she had a different perspective.

For her, it’s about two people willing to do the work — being kind, honest and compassionate with each other. 🌙

And what is she looking for?

Consistency. Curiosity. Someone sporty. And someone who wants to explore. ✨

She came to Ubud alone for yoga teacher training and has already met people she hopes to keep in her life forever.

Maybe some of the best connections happen when you simply put yourself somewhere new. 💫

What do you think makes love last? 👇

How many souls are we meant to meet? 💘

We met Darren in Ubud and asked him if he believes in destiny when it comes to love.

His answer wasn’t quite what we expected.

After three years living in Ubud, Darren believes there are many beautiful souls we can connect with on a deep level.

And maybe that’s part of the magic of this place. 🌙

The people. The connections. The sacred waters. The volcanoes. The energy. The unexpected souls who cross your path. ✨

As Darren says:

“It’s magic. It’s pure magic.”

Maybe destiny isn’t about there being only one person meant for us.

Maybe it’s about being open to the souls we’re meant to meet along the way. 💘

What matters most when you’re looking for love? 💘

We met Michelle in Ubud and asked if she believes in destiny when it comes to love.

Her answer? “I do.” ✨

She’s been single for a year, and what she’s looking for sounds simple — someone trustworthy, loving and caring. ❤️

Sometimes it’s not about having a long list.

It’s about meeting someone who feels right. 🌙

Michelle was only in Ubud for the day before heading to Canggu… but in Bali, you never know who you might meet along the way. 🌴

A rooftop date. Drinks by the pool. Then a 2am walk to the Sydney Opera House… and a kiss on the steps. 💘

Michel might not believe in destiny when it comes to love — but his best date sounds a little like it. 🌙

He’s on Hinge, but he also believes something simple: when you go out, meet people and put yourself in the right places, you give connection a chance to happen.

For Michel, it’s about finding someone fun, sharing the same sense of humour and feeling that attraction and energy in person.

And maybe that’s the interesting part…

You don’t have to believe in destiny to meet someone who changes your story. ✨

What if love isn’t about finding your missing piece? 💘

Kasia has been single for a year and a half — and her answer about what she looks for in a partner says a lot.

“He already became whole and doesn’t need anything to become complete.”

Maybe the best connections happen when two people meet not because they need each other to feel complete, but because they choose each other. 🌙

After a month in Ubud, Kasia says what she loves most is the people — locals and people arriving from all over the world.

You never quite know who you’re going to meet. ✨

Would you choose connection over everything else? 💘

We met Gabriele on his very first day in Ubud after arriving from Australia — and asked him what really matters when it comes to love. 🌴

Single for over a year, he still believes in destiny.

For him, it comes down to something simple:

✨ A genuine connection
🤍 Feeling connected to each other
🤝 Mutual respect

Sometimes you travel halfway across the world for a holiday.

Sometimes you arrive exactly where you’re meant to be. 🌙

What matters most to you in a partner — connection, respect, chemistry or something else? 👇

“I believe that we create our own destiny.” 💘

We met Kelly in Ubud and asked her if she believes in destiny when it comes to love.

She used to but not anymore.

Kelly doesn’t believe there’s just one person we’re meant to be with. Instead, she believes we create what we want out of life and end up with who we believe we deserve at the time.

When it comes to a partner, what matters most?

Honesty. Integrity. And actions that speak louder than words. 🌙

What do you think — is love already written, or do we create our own destiny? 💘
