Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, NVIDIA kembali memperkenalkan sejumlah teknologi serta produk generasi terbaru mereka di ajang GTC (GPU Technology Conference) 2014 di San Jose, California. Sejumlah teknologi serta produk diperkenalkan tidak terkecuali graphics card terbaru mereka. Akan tetapi siapa yang menyangka jika graphics card terbaru dari NVIDIA merupakan anggota keluarga terbaru dari lini GeForce GTX TITAN.

Sambutlah GeForce GTX TITAN Z! Tidak hanya menjadi graphics card GeForce GTX paling bertenaga saat ini, GeForce GTX TITAN Z juga memiliki harga jual paling tinggi dalam sejarah graphics card GeForce GTX. Sebuah GeForce GTX TITAN Z ditawarkan pada kisaran harga $2999 atau lebih dari 34 juta rupiah dengan kurs saat ini.

GeForce GTX TITAN Z dilengkapi 5760 CUDA Cores. Dari jumlah CUDA Cores tersebut dapat ditebak jika GeForce GTX TITAN Z merupakan graphics card dual-GPU dimana dua chip GPU GK110 15 SMX menjadi otaknya. Tidak hanya itu, GeForce GTX TITAN Z juga dilengkapi kapasitas memori sebesar 12GB atau 6GB per GPU. Untuk mendinginkan dua chip GPU GK110, NVIDIA menggunakan sistem pendingin dengan bentuk serupa seperti sistem pendingin GeForce GTX 690. Walaupun begitu, sistem pendingin GeForce GTX TITAN Z memiliki ukuran lebih besar dimana hal tersebut terlihat dari penggunaan bodi dengan ketebalan tiga slot. Sayang sekali untuk saat ini belum diketahui berapakah spesifikasi clock yang digunakan serta konfigurasi konektor daya PCIe.



Tentu saja dengan harga jual fantastis seperti itu, GeForce GTX TITAN Z tidak ditujukan untuk kalangan gamer atau pengguna PC pada umumnya. GeForce GTX TITAN Z lebih ditujukan untuk kalangan pengguna PC dengan kebutuhan komputasi tinggi pada bidang seperti computer aided design (CAD), defense and intelligence, media and entertaintment, medical imaging, physics, oil and gas/seismic, wheater climate, dan masih banyak lagi. Seperti kita ketahui, lini GeForce GTX TITAN Series memiliki keistimewaan pada kemampuan komputasi double precision dimana kemampuan seperti itu biasa ditemukan pada graphics card NVIDIA Tesla. GeForce GTX TITAN Z diklaim memiliki kemampuan komputasi hingga 8 TeraFLOPS.

Untuk kalangan gamer atau pengguna PC pada umumnya harga $2999 memang tergolong tinggi sekali tetapi akan lain ceritanya untuk kalangan penggguna dengan kebutuhan komputasi tinggi. Walaupun begitu memang tidak menutup kemungkinan bagi kalangan gamer atau pengguna PC pada umumnya untuk memiliki GeForce GTX TITAN Z dan menjadikannya sebagai graphics card gaming mereka. GeForce GTX TITAN Z sendiri dirancang untuk menangani resolusi 5K.
