Daily Log 14•11 - 17•11 🍰 oh my goodness, it’s been a WHILE. How are you guys doing? 😆 well, I’m alive! 👋
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
October and half of November have been pretty nuts for me, my energy was constantly overspent and I had so many burnout episodes that it wasn’t even funny anymore 🙃 I just finished shooting a Zoom musical production last weekend and just starting to get back on my normal rhythm this week.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And that’s also why I haven’t touched my bullet journal as much as I’d like to. I do realize that my mental health suffers when I don’t journal for a long period of time, but I was such in a self-sabotage mode that I made very poor decisions and neglected my needs. I’m back though! And with Sailor Shikiori brush pens! 😂🎉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyways how’s it going with you? Are you still social distancing or have you started going out like normal? Let’s chat! I’m slowly meeting up with 1-2 people outside my family circle now, but am still wary. After 2 years of talking to people solely via Zoom, it’s weird to talk to living, breathing, 3D people. Like the graphics is too *real* you know? 🤪😂

Week 39 ☀️ lately I’ve been keeping it really minimal and coming back to my weekly. I’m also using a daily log, but my daily has gone back to the original super simple bullet journal method, with just an additional column for food logging. Kinda liking it so far 🙈

Btw btw BTW... (!!!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀..I’ve ordered a Hobonichi Weeks and an A6 Day Free for 2022 😬😬😬
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤪 I don’t know how I feel about it! Haha! I’ve been bullet journaling in a hardcover A5 for 4 years now, so “slimming” down into the Weeks and an A6 is kinda... exciting, but also intimidating (?). Looking at how functional the layout in Weeks made me bite the bullet. I did get an additional Day Free just because I’m not sure if the Weeks will provide me with enough space. I’m not sure how I’m going to use it yet, but no harm in trying. I mean if I didn’t like it, I could always go back to my bullet journal 😌
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So yeah! When everything arrives, I’ll post my little haul 🙈 so excited! (And scared!)

FIRST LOOK: Trinket by Kath x Figure Notes Blossom Travelers Journal Collection 🌷 —— when Trinket by Kath reached out to me for a collab, I was pleasantly surprised since I have been a long time customer. I’ve sent many of their products to my students and colleagues, so you can imagine my excitement 😄✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This time they’re partnering with in making their version of the travelers journal — both are Indonesian based small businesses where everything is locally made 🖤 they sent me 2 blank notebooks but ruled, dotted, monthly planner and weekly planner are also available for purchase — each with different whimsical illustrations in solid, vibrant colors.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The soft PVC cover is 2mm thick, and TBH I think this material is prone to denting; but I guess that’s part of the charm. I’ve never owned a PVC cover before despite the recent trend, so we’ll see how it wears in the future. I think it’s cute that the PVC cover is hand screen-printed and could look different depending on what kind of notebook you put inside.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I received this with a small wipe cloth to keep the cover dust free, an extra rubber (in white), and an illustrated thick paper envelope. They sell a lot of different hampers and cute packaging where you can custom a greeting card, which makes them great choices for gifts ☺️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The notebooks are stitched with a dark red thread; which was kind of an interesting aesthetic choice. I can’t say much about the paper quality since I haven’t done a pen test, but just from touching it feels like a slightly thicker sketchbook paper. From their Toped website, the journal has 48 pages of kraft bleached paper 100gsm.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thanks again to the team in and for sending me this! I haven’t decided what to use these for, but I guess I will decide when I’ve done a pen test 🙈 — do you own a blank notebook? What do you use them for?

Weekly Log 🍎 Hello! 😆👋 it’s been so long since I last popped up in this account, I hope you’re all doing well! I haven’t posted anything for quite awhile, but I’m still doing my bullet journaling behind the scenes — albeit going through another planning crisis 🙈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was trying to go back to weekly planning here as I find daily planning did not give me the system to allocate tasks on certain days. I tried sticking to this layout but no space for free-hand journaling / logging is kinda driving me off balance. So I changed it again this week and trying something new. In all honesty, my spreads in September is super all over the place 😅 every week is different, and I haven’t found my coherence. Growing pains, people!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyways I did get some new stationery 😌 which is these Sailor Shikiori brush pens that are inspired by the bottled inks they offer and also stickers (both I bought myself) 🥰 I’m going through a planning crisis, but cute stationery makes it a little bit better hehe.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you guys decided what to use for 2022? I am soooo intrigued with the Hobonichi system — and I blame all the beautiful Hobonichi videos on YouTube for it! 😫 ugh I’m so torn!

Bujo Stack 📚 — I’ve migrated to my 8th bujo since July but I haven’t had the chance to take a commemorative photo so here it is! ☺️✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the 8th I’m trying out the Rhodia Goalbook. I’ve used a few Rhodia Webnotebook before, but the Goalbook feels like it’s catered to bullet journaling a little bit more. It has page numbers, 3 bookmark ribbons, and a pre-made index / table of contents. The rubber band on the black Goalbook is orange tho, while the Webnotebook is all black. The Webnotebook is much more minimalist, and this is the party version of it 🥳😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
PS. Am completely not endorsed or sponsored by Rhodia (I wish tho! 😄)

Daily Log 23/07 ☕️ I think this coffee theme daily is a new favorite 🥰🖤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have been pretty good with logging my days and getting back to journaling for the past few days. I’ve cut down my system and currently keeping up with 3 journals in a day:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- morning: Morning Pages
- day: Bullet Journal + to-do + planning
- night: 5 Year Journal — gratitude + what I learned that day
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So far this is the basic 3 that I’m keeping up with. I’m going to try this new system for a few weeks and see how it is; if it works, I’m planning to shoot an updated planning system ✌️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How many journals are you keeping up with right now?

July Monthly 🌸 oh hi, it’s been awhile isn’t it? I hope you are having a good July and a fulfilling one so far! ☺️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the past 2 weeks that I have been gone from this account, I have migrated to my 8th bullet journal — which is the Rhodia Goalbook you’re looking at on this post. I still feel like I haven’t completely migrated though, since I haven’t filled a lot of the spreads I made for myself... well, mainly my half-year goals. It’s like I suddenly forgot how to set goals for myself 😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I haven’t completely “recovered” from the journaling rut I mentioned to you guys, but I’ve started free-hand writing on another book without giving myself the pressure to do it everyday. So I’ve been *sporadically* journaling. Well, I guess that’s better than nothing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyways we are moving towards August, and I find that super bizarre! Like how?! 🤪😭 what’s your half year goals? And how do you set it up? Tips are super appreciated!

to Week 22 🏳️‍🌈 okay confession time; I haven’t really touched my bullet journal for the last 10 days, I’ve skipped the whole month of June in my 5-year-journal, and I’m supposed to migrate to a new bujo and setup July, but I haven’t even taken the new journal out. Thinking about how much backlogging I’d have to do gives me so much stress I ended up not starting anything.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In other words, I’m currently in a journaling slump. Or more precisely... a slump in general. And I know exactly why I am here (again).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thing is, my country is back in emergency lockdown (although they refuse to call it that), since our number of cases have been spiking up uncontrollably. I see IG stories of friends announcing deaths of loved ones and desperate plea for hospital beds everyday. Our healthcare is in the verge of collapsing. 2 of my neighbors who are living just across the street are positive. My area is turning into a red zone. Everybody is so scared they don’t do morning walks anymore.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Looking at news of the world where some countries have started taking off their masks, going to soccer games and getting their life back, feels like a distant dream. The government is trying their best to get us all vaccinated, and I got my first shot too recently. But with this rate of spread, I fear we haven’t seen the worst.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With all of those news, I’ve only got enough energy to stay afloat on my work. I’m trying to be kind to myself; telling myself that it’s very understandable why I am behind with my planning system. But honestly it’s been difficult. My mind is a storm, and I know only journaling could truly ease my chattering brain. I guess it’s time to overhaul the system again. I just gotta find that energy to do it. Siiiiigh.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Okay enough about me. How are you guys? Are you free to go outside without masks now? Have you been vaccinated?

PS. Even with all of those dark days, these little rainbow stickers with ghosts on them still manage to make me smile a little ☺️✨ lovely rainbow stickers kindly sent by

June Habit & Wellness Tracker 🪴 a few weeks ago I did a Level 10 Life exercise since the last time I did it in August 2020, and it turned out that my scores in both Fun & Recreation and Health & Wellness are pretty low 🙈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So this is an attempt to be a bit better on June, at least in the Health & Wellness part. TBH I’m better with weekly habit trackers, but I find weeklies are only useful if you track no more than 5 things — otherwise I find it bothersome to set it up every week. We’ll see how it goes this time 😌🤞
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From the last polling, it seems like 70% of you are monthly habit tracker users 😱 What’s your tip of staying consistent? Teach me master 😩

Daily Log 25/05 📝 “there’s beauty in simplicity” — probably the most suited quote with this daily spread. I kept it really minimal with the decor and focused on the mini journaling / observation portion of the spread.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was doing a lot of “productive procrastination” where instead of doing my main tasks, I did a lot of creative tasks and shared interesting articles in my main IG acc instead. I don’t think that the time I spent editing content was wasted since I did enjoy doing it, but since my main job is definitely not an influencer, I’d like to find balance in the two 😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Btw it’s ironic that my last mini log was a self-critic entry talking about how sh*tty I was with time management, while the sticker beside it was saying “be proud of yourself for how hard you’re trying” 😌✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what’s your go-to “productive procrastination”? For me it’s cleaning my desk and editing videos for IG stories 🙃 what’s yours?

Checking In Prompts ✍️ with the recent challenging life events, I’m in dire need of clarity and grounded-ness; and of course I run to my journal for it. I found this lovely prompt that helps you check in with yourself (or a loved one) from idontmind.com ( ) — and I’m sharing this with you in case you would like to do it too:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. How are you feeling today, really? Physically and mentally.
2. What’s taking up most of your headspace right now?
3. What was your last full meal, and have you been drinking enough water?
4. How have you been sleeping?
5. What have you been doing for exercise?
6. What did you do today that made you feel good?
7. What’s something you can do today that would be good for you?
8. What’s something you’re looking forward to in the next few days?
9. What’s something we can do together this week, even if we’re apart?
10. What are you grateful for right now?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I finished answering these last night and it really did help me refocus on what I need physically and mentally. I realized that I haven’t been drinking a lot of water, and dehydration does correlate with wellness of our brain (hence, the mind). It’s weird when you think by just drinking enough water, we could improve our mental state — but we are both mental and physical beings; and in times when our mental health is declining, boosting it from the physical could work too. So even if my head is still in shambles, I try to at least make sure I’m eating properly, drinking enough water and not oversleeping. When “inside out” is not working, it’s time to try the “outside in” approach ☺️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I checked in with my partner with these questions last night, doing a little Q&A session since he’s not a journal writer. Our conversation went deep, and he came up with little things that he’d like to do after a week of flatlining. I, too, would like to start building myself up in my own pace — with my journal as a tool 📖🖋

Daily Log 05/05 - 06/05 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏼 a little throwback because my recent entries are way too personal to share 🥀 it’s been a hell of a week in my side; I had to bury my partner’s mother whom I considered as my own mom, and in the span of exactly one week, I received two more sad news that one of the parents from both my student & colleague (whom are not acquainted to each other) have suddenly passed away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So many deaths in 7 days.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This pandemic has taken someone or something from all of us. We share a common grief that defies borders and nationalities. And it makes me really think about the privilege of time that I currently have with both of my parents. I can hug them and tell them I love them now, but how much time do we have left? I don’t know. And not knowing crushes me. Grief is something that all of us will (and perhaps have) experience in our lives. And as long as love exists, so does grief.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I thought about this a lot this week, and I hug my family a little bit closer... while I still can 🖤🤗
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
———
We have somehow reached 10k followers, and I am very, very grateful. It’s not that I don’t want to celebrate it, but the day we reached 10k was also the day I was holding a funeral. So I was feeling all sorts of mixed feelings. Despite all of that, I still want to express my gratitude to everyone who have accompanied me in my journaling journey. I don’t have a constant schedule in posting, I write long-winded captions when I do, and I disappear from time to time. As a content creator, I’m pretty terrible haha yet somehow... you guys are still here 🖤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So... thank you so much for being here and for letting us grow into a community of 10,000+ people. I still can’t believe it. But I am humbled and very grateful to each and everyone of you. Blessings ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
PS. I understand that it might be awkward to say both “my condolences” and also “congrats on 10k!” in one sentence, so if you’d like to do both, just send me a 💐 or any flower emojis ☺️🌸 I’d understand what you mean, and appreciate you for it. Thank you so much, everyone 🖤
