Ardhanari Performing Arts Studio & Management was originally named Studio Tari dan Karawitan Jawa Ardhanari, founded in Bandung (1979) by a couple of university students who were active in the practice of Javanese dance. It was very successful, and now we're back again since 2009! Ardhanari relaunched in 2009 in Jakarta, helped and supported by former members of Studio Tari dan Karawitan Jawa Ardh

anari. To widen our horizons, we decided to change the name to Ardhanari Performing Arts Studio & Management in 2011. Ardhanari is divided into two departments: studio and management

In Ardhanari Performing Arts Studio, everyone from various ages can learn and appreciate Jogja style of classical Javanese dance every Sunday 2-4pm. Whereas in Ardhanari Performing Arts Management, members of Ardhanari organize various cultural events from traditional, contemporary, theatrical, conceptual, pantomime, various dances and musical performances!
