Synesthesia my 2025 World of Wearable Art entry for Neon section. ✨ Synesthesia ✨
began with colour, energy, and joy—but it became something deeper.

Saturday nights with my brother Stephen, who has Down’s Syndrome and limited language, taught me how much can be shared through colour and movement. Together we understood The Muppets—a world of oddball characters who somehow pulled it off each week, guided by their green leader.

As the finals approach, my joy in colour feels clouded, but more necessary. This work calls us to embrace difference with compassion, even against the odds.

It is happening. I am here at 2025 world@of wearable art Wellington New Zealand. Today was designers day where we were so welcomed. Treated to a day of presentations, mingling and food. Oh yeah. Tomorrow is embassy welcome. This will be new.

This coffee machine is built or clad with pieces of old fridge. Pretty cool at maranui surf life savers club. Excellent food. Hope I spelt that right overnight flight could be a bit sideways. Grateful to hema for surprise pick up and Oceanside feed.

The perfect first show of my own at John Curtin college of the Arts. “Mr Burns” is a play post nuclear meltdown. The memory and f the Simpsons has melted and morphed into something new where Bart and Homer are fine upstanding heroic citizens. Directed here by guest director Michael Abercrombie. These were fun to create and grateful Michael allowed me to go with my flow. Second photo Burt and Burns duel off.

It’s official. I have my wings. Passed the first two rounds of judging. My entry will be included in the 2025 show Rise. New Zealand here I come. I can’t wait to see the incredible show and all the other designers works. Designers day and all the wonderful things in Store for me there. Thank you WOW for choosing me.
