The Blend Within

The Blend Within The objective of “The Blend Within” is to bridge and raise awareness of cross cultural influences and similarities around the world.

The Blend Within people and cultures is the secret to establish meaningful connections through similarities, to shape and celebrate intercultural excellence and to thrive together for the benefit of future generations. By showing how and what is connecting people and cultures, and how it enhances intercultural relationships, it allows people to unite and adjust their perspectives of our world as a

whole.

“This is your story”. Get in touch with a part of your own identity. We celebrate the history, present and future view on intercultural collaboration, the cross influence of language, food, arts, music, fashion, architecture and technology. What it means to be mixed, to mix or to live in a mixed world, and how everything is related to what you are experiencing right now.

We are honoured that Days (DSK) has opened his archive to Return to RAW. Spanning decades of innovation, these works offer a rare window into the evolution of European graffiti and the creative forces that helped shape it.

Widely recognized as one of the Netherlands' most influential style innovators, Days (DSK) has been active since the mid-1980s and pushed the boundaries of 3D lettering into entirely new territory. As a core member of DSK (Dope Style Kings), one of the country's most respected graffiti crews, his continual exploration of form, pattern, and dimension transformed graffiti design into new visual worlds and influenced generations of writers. By weaving cross-cultural influences into his work, he helped expand the visual language of graffiti and shape the evolution of European style writing.

The Blend Within "Architecture" - Torres de Satélite (1957) by Luis Barragán & Mathias Goeritz reflects a bold fusion of modernist abstraction with cultural symbolism.

The sculptural towers merge the languange of Modernism and geometricvminimalism with the monumental presence of Mesoamerican architecture - echoing ancient markers and sacred forms-while the vibrant colors connect to mexican identity and landscape.

Photo by Armando Salas Portugal, the work captures a meeting point between European avant-garde thinking and local cultural expression at an urban scale.

Thanks to HAT - DSK Crew, active since the mid 80s, between the trains, surrounded by pieces on both sides. This is RAW graffiti in its purest form.

Respect to HAT and DSK Crew for opening their archive.

FUSE / Future Fresh

An ongoing project.

FUSE is our long-term exploration of hybrid identity, shaped by migration, memory, and creative expression. What began with the legacy of Eurasian families who arrived in the Netherlands in the 1950s expands into contemporary life in Indonesia, where past and present move in constant dialogue.

As a contemporary visual concept, FUSE brings together photography, fashion, design, reimagined food culture, and personal narratives. It captures daily life between worlds, where heritage evolves through artistic practice and imagination.

This is what we, and , continue to explore.

FUSE grows over time.
It reflects who we are.

We have some RAW film, slides, and video from the early ’80s and mid-eighties. Graffiti, B-boys,
and MCs at T’Breehuys in Leiden, Zulu Rockers, the early days, and even have my cousin Dennis
headspinning. The Burner from the MP - Sore & Jesse in the back. The old DJ booth where we
rocked Mantronix and more.

A true treasure for the Return to RAW project, big thanks to Paulien & Ingrid at T’Breehuys for sharing these moments.
