Ieri sera è successo qualcosa di magico.
In una chiesa piena e immersa nel silenzio, Mihály Berecz ha attraversato le Variazioni Goldberg con quella naturalezza tecnica e quella libertà interpretativa che il BBC Music Magazine ha riconosciuto nel suo Bach: un’esecuzione rigorosa, raffinata e profondamente coinvolgente.
Ma la vera protagonista della serata è stata la comunità.
Colle e tutta la Valdelsa si sono riunite, in un martedì qualunque, per assistere a un concerto di musica classica di altissimo livello e questo non è affatto scontato.
Una comunità che sceglie la cultura è una comunità che resiste: abita i luoghi, crea possibilità e dimostra che la grande musica non appartiene soltanto alle grandi città.
Martedì sera, quella comunità c’era ed è stato bellissimo.

Something magical happened last night.
In a packed church, immersed in silence, Mihály Berecz took us through the Goldberg Variations with the technical ease and interpretative freedom that BBC Music Magazine has recognised in his Bach: a rigorous, refined and deeply engaging performance.
But the true protagonist of the evening was the community.
People from Colle and across the Valdelsa came together on an ordinary Tuesday evening to experience a classical music concert of the highest level and that is something we should never take for granted.
A community that chooses culture is a community that resists: it brings places to life, creates new possibilities and proves that great music does not belong only to great cities.
On Tuesday evening, that community was there and it was beautiful.
