We’re so happy to finally share the updated Ancient Future Gathering program with you. 🤍

We’ve made a few final changes, moved some things around and fine-tuned the flow. Now it’s ready, and we can’t wait to experience it all with you. 🌿

Four days of music, ecstatic dance, ceremonies, workshops, talks, sound journeys, singing circles, movement, connection and celebration. 🎶🌙🌀

Wake up with yoga, breathwork or meditation. Meet someone new over breakfast. Join a workshop, listen to a talk, sing together, dance barefoot, sit by the fire or follow a sound that catches your attention. 🌞🌺🔥

The festival unfolds across five different spaces, each with its own character:

🌊 THURSDAY • ARRIVE & IMMERSE
Come in, take a breath, meet the land and each other. We open the gathering together and let the journey begin.

🌕 FRIDAY • REMEMBER
A day of connection, ancient wisdom, ceremony and the Full Moon. As the sun goes down, the music and dancing begin to carry us into the night.

🔥 SATURDAY • ENVISION
The heart of the gathering. A full day of music, rituals, workshops, talks and shared experiences, followed by a night of celebration.

🌱 SUNDAY • EMBODY
A softer landing. Time to move, connect, integrate and bring everything we’ve shared back into ourselves before we say goodbye.

💫 Her talk: From Freeze to Agency: Politics Begins in the Body - draws on her work with overwhelmed climate negotiators to explore how our nervous systems shape the way we respond to ecological crisis, political pressure and complexity.

🌀 Moving from freeze and overwhelm toward agency, she connects climate politics, degrowth and embodied practice - asking what becomes possible when transformation begins not only with new policies, but within the body itself. 🤍

We are very happy to welcome Martha Bißmann to the Emergent Future Village at Ancient Future Gathering 🥳

FROM DOMINATION TO REGENERATION 🌀

What if patriarchy is not the natural order of human society, but a historical system we have learned to mistake for one?

And what if the answers to today’s crises lie not in a new ideology, but in knowledge humanity has forgotten, suppressed or erased? 🌍

Martha’s invitation is not to replace male rulers with female rulers. It is to question the system itself.

Drawing from ancient, Indigenous and contemporary cultures, she explores a way of organising society that places sustaining, nurturing and regenerating life at its centre. 🌱

Her exploration is also deeply personal. 🔥 One of nine children in a devout religious family, she inherited a worldview centred around a male god that left little room for questioning. Leaving that behind became a long process of unlearning — and of discovering that the questions she had been asking in private had ancient, living answers.

In her talk, Martha tells two versions of the same story: the Story of Creation we have inherited, and the forgotten one that patriarchy nearly erased. 📖

Her proposition is deliberately radical. Our ecological, social and political crises are expressions of one paradigm — one that has normalised the exploitation of nature, of women, and of most human beings.
