Az Albatross című számot Peter Green komponálta, a Fleetwood Mac alapítója és gitárosa 1968-ban. Ez lett a banda első nagy sikere és rögtön a brit zenei élet élvonalába repít***e őket.
The song Albatross was composed by Peter Green, founder and guitarist of Fleetwood Mac in 1968. It became the band’s first major success and immediately flew them to the forefront of the British music scene.

"Gloomy Sunday" (Hungarian: Szomorú vasárnap), also known as the "Hungarian Su***de Song", is a popular song composed by Hungarian pianist and composer Rezső Seress and published in 1933.
The original lyrics were titled “Vége a világnak” (The world is ending) and were about despair caused by war, ending in a quiet prayer about people's sins. Poet László Jávor wrote his own lyrics to the song, titled Szomorú vasárnap (Sad Sunday), in which the protagonist wants to commit su***de following his lover's death. The latter lyrics ended up becoming more popular while the former were essentially forgotten. The song was first recorded in Hungarian by Pál Kalmár in 1935.
"Gloomy Sunday" was first recorded in English by Hal Kemp in 1936, with lyrics by Sam M. Lewis, and was recorded the same year by Paul Robeson, with lyrics by Desmond Carter. It became well known throughout much of the English-speaking world after the release of a version by Billie Holiday in 1941. Lewis's lyrics referred to su***de, and the record label described it as the "Hungarian Su***de Song". There is a recurring urban legend which claims that many people have committed su***de while listening to this song.

Santo & Johnny Farina - Virtual Band - Sleep Walk
A " Sleep Walk " című instrumentális kompozíciót - Santo és Johnny Farina testvérek szerzeményét - 1959-ben vették fel és adták ki. A felvételen nagybátyjuk Mike Dee dobolt. A dal fő motívuma acélgitárra (steel gitár) lett komponálva. A hangfelvétel a New York-i Trinity Music-ban készült.
Gyerekként édesapjuk Tony, mind Santót, mind Johnny Farinát arra bátorította, hogy tanuljanak meg steelgitáron játszani és írjanak saját szerzeményeket. Alkotásaikat egy Webcor magnóra rögzítették, amelyet apjuk vásárolt nekik.
Aztán egy koncert után a testvérek nem tudtak elaludni, így zenélgetni kezdtek és a magnó segítségével először rögzítették a Sleep Walk harmóniáit. A steel gitár dallam hozzáadása és befejezése után Johnny Farina úgy vélte, hogy van egy slágerük, ezért másfél évet töltött azzal, hogy különféle zeneműkiadókkal beszélgessen a "Sleep Walk" szakszerű felvételének lehetőségéről.
A "Sleep Walk" demó pozitív benyomást tett Ed Burtonra, a Trinity Musicnál. Miután aláírták a szerződésüket a Canadian-American Recordssal, elkészítették a felvétel egy háromnyakú Fender Stringmaster használatával.
A "Sleep Walk" 1959. július 27-én lépett be a Billboard Hot 100-ba. A dal 1959 novemberéig a Billboard Top 40-en maradt.
Az évek során a szerzeményt többek között feldolgozta a The Shadows, a Brian Setzer Orchestra (Grammy-díjat kaptak érte), Larry Carlton, és a Modest Mouse.
A dal megihlette Stephen Kinget is, a horror , a természetfeletti fikció , a feszültség, a krimi, a tudományos-fantasztikus és a fantasy regények amerikai szerzőjét, és megírta első filmforgatókönyvét az 1992-es Sleepwalkers horrorfilmhez. A filmben szerepel a dal is.
The instrumental composition "Sleep Walk" - a composition by brothers Santo and Johnny Farina - was recorded and released in 1959. The recording featured their uncle Mike Dee drumming. The main motif of the song was composed for steel guitar (steel guitar). The sound recording was made at Trinity Music in New York.
As children, their father Tony encouraged both Santo and Johnny Farina to learn to play steel guitar and write their own compositions. They recorded their creations on a Webcor tape recorder that their father bought them.
Then after a concert, the brothers couldn’t fall asleep, so they started playing music and recorded the harmonies of Sleep Walk for the first time using a tape recorder. After adding and completing the steel guitar tune, Johnny Farina thought they had a hit, so he spent a year and a half talking to various music publishers about the possibility of professionally recording "Sleep Walk."
The "Sleep Walk" demo made a positive impression on Ed Burton at Trinity Music. After signing their contract with the Canadian-American Records, they made the recording using a three-necked Fender Stringmaster.
"Sleep Walk" entered the Billboard Hot 100 on July 27, 1959. The song remained on the Billboard Top 40 until November 1959.
Over the years, the composition has been processed by The Shadows, the Brian Setzer Orchestra (they received a Grammy Award for it), Larry Carlton, and the Modest Mouse, among others.
The song also inspired Stephen King, an American author of horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, crime, science fiction and fantasy novels, and wrote his first film script for the 1992 horror film Sleepwalkers. The film also features the song.

Stanley Myers- Virtual band - Cavatina
A Cavatina Stanley Myers brit zeneszerző 1970-es klasszikus gitár darabja, amely a The Walking Stick (1970) című filmhez íródott és mintegy nyolc évvel később a The Deer Hunter (A szarvasvadász) témájaként lett igazán népszerű. A cavatina egy zenei kifejezés: rövid dal, ill. ária, operák és oratóriumok gyakori betéte. Az áriához hasonló, de kisebb igényű, ismétlés nélküli szólódal.
A darabot először John Williams klasszikus gitáros vette fel, jóval a film előtt, amely híressé t***e. Eredetileg zongorára írták, de Williams felkérésére Myers gitárra írta és kibővít***e. Ezt az átalakulást követően először a Sétabot (1970) című filmhez használták fel. 1973-ban Cleo Laine dalszövegeket írt rá és a dalt "He Was Beautiful" néven rögzít***e Williams kíséretében.
A The Deer Hunter 1978-as megjelenése után Williams instrumentális változata az Egyesült Királyság Top 20 slágerévé vált. Két másik változat is készült ebben az évben: újabb instrumentális felvétel a Shadowstól és Iris Williams énekes változata (Cleo Laine szövegével).
British composer Cavatina Stanley Myers is a 1970s classic guitar piece written for The Walking Stick (1970) and about eight years later became really popular as a theme for The Deer Hunter. Cavatina is a musical term: a short song, resp. frequent deposit of arias, operas and oratorios. A solo-like, but less demanding, non-repetition solo.
The piece was first recorded by classical guitarist John Williams, long before the film that made him famous. It was originally written for piano, but at William’s request, Myers wrote and expanded it for guitar. Following this transformation, it was first used for the film Walking Stick (1970). In 1973, Cleo Laine wrote lyrics for it and recorded the song as "He Was Beautiful" accompanied by Williams.
After the release of The Deer Hunter in 1978, Williams ’instrumental version became the UK’s Top 20 hit. Two other versions were made this year: another instrumental recording from Shadows and a singer version of Iris Williams (with lyrics by Cleo Laine).

The song Green Green Grass of Home was written in 1965 by Curly Putman. The song was first recorded with a singer named Johnny Darrell also in 1965, but was not particularly successful. That same year, Porter Wagoner cut it a little shorter, and the shortened version was included in the top five on the conutry hit list.
When Welsh pop star Tom Jones heard the sad track on an album by Jerry Lee Lewis, he also sang to record. The song was chart-topping in the UK for seven weeks, eventually selling over a million copies.
Of the dozens of musicians who performed a prisoner-longing prisoner song longing for their home outside of Tom Jones, the most famous were Dean Martin, Greatful Dead, and Johnny Cash.
We also processed this deservedly world-famous composition with Virtual Band, in a peculiar way, of course.
