We are delighted to announce that Longtermhandstand will become the first Hungarian gallery ever to participate in Frieze Seoul, presenting a solo booth of new works by Botond Keresztesi.

Selected for Focus, Frieze Seoul’s section dedicated to important emerging galleries, Longtermhandstand joins 16 international galleries in presentations conceived specifically for the fair. Advised by curator Seolhui Lee, this year’s edition expands beyond Asia for the first time, bringing together galleries from Europe and the Americas alongside participants from across the region.

For Frieze Seoul 2026, Botond Keresztesi will unveil a new body of work continuing his exploration of gaming culture, science fiction, esoteric traditions, and the body as a symbolic and energetic system.

Founded in 2022, Longtermhandstand is honored to represent Hungary on this stage and grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Last two days at Basel Social Club.

While the gallerist is taking the theme Office perhaps a bit too seriously, Julie Béna’s installation continues to transform the workplace into a space of fiction, play, and poetic confusion.

Previously shown at Jeu de Paume, Paris, Le Magasin, Grenoble, and PLATO, Ostrava, the work places transparent glass tables center stage, where reflections, moving images, and the figure of the Jester invite us to question what is visible, what is hidden, and who gets to write the story.

Part sculpture, part cinema, part practical joke.

Blurring pixels into memories, Brückner transforms familiar fragments of internet culture into intimate, almost ghostly images. From the fading glow of MSN Messenger avatars to the dreamlike atmosphere of Los Angeles, his paintings hover between remembering and buffering.

Part superhero, part machine, part dream sequence, Aquaman continues Keresztesi’s ongoing exploration of post internet identities and mutated realities. Suspended between video game aesthetics and contemporary painting, his characters inhabit worlds where technology and imagination are inseparable.

There are only a few days left to experience Róza El-Hassan’s solo exhibition at Kohta Kunsthalle in Helsinki.

Bringing together sculpture, drawing, and installation, the exhibition reflects El-Hassan’s long-standing interest in interconnectedness, care, and the ethics of coexistence. Throughout her practice, art becomes a space for empathy, vulnerability, and collective imagination.

Across decades, El-Hassan has developed a singular artistic language that navigates questions of memory, migration, ecology, and social relations, proposing forms of solidarity in uncertain times.

Under this year’s theme, Office, the workplace becomes a site of artistic production, encounter, fiction, and exchange.

OMARA never separated image from language. Her paintings speak, argue, joke, protest, and confess. They demand to be read as much as they demand to be seen.

Created during the final years of her life, this work belongs to a remarkable group of paper pieces in which OMARA transformed everyday observations into sharp social commentary. Funny, uncomfortable, fearless, and deeply human, these works remain as direct today as when they were made.
