A ZENITH ART EXCHANGE nemzetközi vizuális művészeti csereprogram, amelynek célja, hogy növelje a magyar és az arab kortárs vizuális művészet ismertségét, szélesebb körben népszerűsítse a kortárs vizuális művészetet, és erősítse e területen a nemzetközi szakmai párbeszédet. A ZENITH ART EXCHANGE program 2013-ban indult el az Art Moments Kortárs Művészeti fesztivál keretében. 2013-ban a varázslatos
arab világ érkezik a csereprogram közvetítésével Magyarországra, a jövőben pedig a szervezők szándéka szerint a nemzetközi paletta kiegészül más ázsiai országok, mint Kína, India, Törökország kortárs művészetének hazai bemutatásával is. Idén egy festészeti, két fotó- és egy design kiállítás lesz látható a budapesti Design Terminálban, a debreceni MODEM-ben és a pécsi Zsolnay Negyed M21 Galériájában. A programban nem csak kiállítások szerepelnek, hanem egy aktív művészlátogató programot is szerveztek a rendezők fiatal arab művészek számára a Pécsi Tudomány Egyetem és a Zsolnay Negyed közreműködésével. E programok célja, hogy áttörjék a nyugati világban szokványos előítéleteteket, sztereotípiákat, félelmeket és a gyakori távolságtartó hozzáállást az arab kultúrával szemben. A bemutatott tárlatok anyaga lehetőséget teremt arra, hogy közelebbről tekinthessünk az arab világra, és ez által reálisabb képet alkossunk róla. A festményeken, fotókon, design tárgyakon keresztül tanulhatunk a közel-keleti emberek mindennapjairól, örömeiről, fájdalmairól, problémáiról, szembesülhetünk az arab világ sokszínű, olykor ellentmondásos társadalmi és politikai jelenségeivel, és mindezen ismeretek, benyomások nyomán sokkal emberibb nézőpontból érthetjük meg az arab népeket. A ZENITH ART EXCHANGE szervezői az AMS Art Consulting és az Equilor Fine Art. A programsorozat kurátor partnerei: a CONTEMPORARY ART PLATFORM (CAP) KUWAIT és a Qatar fővárosában, Dohában működő Qatar Museum Authority. ZENITH ART EXCHANGE is an international visual art exchange programme set out to make both Hungarian and Arabic contemporary art more widely accessible, to aid international professional discourse of the field. ZENITH ART EXCHANGE programme was launched in 2013 at the Art Moments Contemporary Art Festival. This year, with the help of the programme, a portion of the magical Arab world is coming to Hungary, and it is the hope of the organisers that in the future, the programme will also open to other Asian countries such as China, India or Turkey, bringing more contemporary artists to Hungary. Two photo and one design exhibition will open this year in Design Terminal Budapest, MODEM Debrecen and in the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter M21 Gallery in Pécs, and there are also hands-on art sessions with young Arab artists in a cooperative project of the University of Pécs and the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter. The aim of these projects is to break the stereotypes and fears toward Arabic culture prevalent in the west. These exhibitions offer unique insight into the Arab world, thus allowing visitors to create a more realistic image of the culture. The paintings, photos and installations exhibited are there to teach us about the everyday joys, pains and problems of people living in the Arab countries, to offer a fuller picture of the manifold and sometimes contradictory social and political issues of the region, and to present a more humane and relatable image of the Arab peoples.
