Last night's account: 5 hours of nonstop music, dozens of happy musicians taking turns on a real stage, 3100 views (so far), lots of gratitude expressed in the form of comments and likes, and other good stuff.

Extra special thanks to Lámpás for providing the stage, Poplesz for doing sound, Joka Burns for the video stream, and ALL musicians for making it happen. See you sometime, somewhere, hopefully soon, hopefully together.

Folks, we're suspending the online events because -- besides the technical issues -- everybody's all looking forward to the end of the lockdown now, so we'd rather concentrate on 'reopening the open mics' at smaller or outdoor venues. Thanks for your support thus far. We'll keep you posted.

Today's featured artist is Vinok, starting with a 15-minute set in a duo lineup, and everybody gets a chance afterwards.

Vinok is an indie-rock band currently based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The band consists of Nathalie, Ilya, and Anton and is compared to Florence + the Machine, Arcade Fire and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Vinok is currently recording a full-length album that will be released in the upcoming months.

Hi Everyone, sorry, we had to cancel this one because there were too many technical issues with this platform. We're in the process of testing a new one, and it should be done by Saturday of this week, so let's shoot for that! Be safe.

Tonight's online open mic event will be streamed on the Open Mic Global Fb page! It should be a more comfortable experience so give it a shot. Featured artist Faye Moloney starts the evening, originally from Ireland, now stuck in Brazil. Great performers signed up afterward, some of them are familiar, some of them are total first-timers, and that's how it should be.
