Lajos Kossuth Sent a Message is one of Hungary's best-known patriotic folk songs. According to tradition, it was composed by the Hungarian Romani musician **Ferenc Sárközi**, who served as a lieutenant under Lajos Kossuth and as the chief conductor of the Romani musicians who took part in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848–49.
