Second part of RGB Laser System’s story.

It took them many months to collect all the necessary like fused silica tube, copper electrodes , copper chloride , high voltage capacitors, vacuum pump, neon gas ,vacuum valves and to build the temperature stabilised oven. The laser cavity was built by using a regular shaving mirror as an end mirror and regular window glass as the output coupler. Finally after multiple attempts and long nights , they have achieved the impossible and the laser emitted some green light although only for a few second due to the impurity of the copper chloride. This was the moment in the two brothers’ life which has change their lives forever. After this moment they decided to improve their laser and make it a reliable product which took them years. In order to make it happened they realised professional help is some way necessary. The first idea was to get in touch with laser experts in the Physical Research Institute in Budapest. Even though the two brothers did not have the same level of knowledge of lasers the researchers quickly accepted and supported them because of their enthusiasm in such a young age. Even though quickly turned out that this type of copper halide lasers are not part of development in Hungary , one of the researcher had a very good friend internationally who was developing such lasers for many years already at time. This story started in 1996, when two young brothers cherished such a dream which only exist in Hollywood movies. Even though they did not have any knowledge about lasers , and never went to such a school, their enthusiasm and curiosity about lasers was so great they decided to challange the imposible and build a visible wavelength laser in their home using the money they spared from their everyday job.During that time semiconductor lasers were really unique and expences especially visible wavelength was available in very low power for very high price. Those days gas and metal v***r lasers was the dominant technology in the world. From gas lasers HeNe with very low power and argon ion laser with very low efficiency was available . The best choice seemed to be copper chloride v***r laser which emits in green and yellow colour with relatively high efficiency . Such a coincidence the help came from an magazin called Scientific American which had an artical about home built copper halide laser. This artical showed them the direction how to build such a laser at home.
