Just three months ago, VRUMOPHONE took the stage in Vienna for the very first time. 💥🎶

Looking back, that concert was so much more than a premiere. It marked the end and a new beginning of a journey—months of writing, rehearsing, experimenting, laughing, growing, and creating together brought to life in front of an audience.

It was a joy and an honour to share MIRABILIA with more than 500 children across two performances in Vienna. Seeing so many curious eyes, open hearts, and joyful smiles reminded us why we create work for young audiences!

Thank you to Johanna Jonasch and her wonderful team at Kultursommer Wien for making this possible and for championing free, inclusive cultural experiences throughout the city.
Festivals like yours bring communities together and spark imagination where it matters most.

And, of course, thank you to every child, family, teacher, and caregiver who stepped into the world of Mirabilia with us. ✨

Joining us are our heart’s superstars , whose fearless blend of live electronics, raw energy, and genre-bending sound has made them one of the most exciting acts on the regional scene. As part of our ongoing collaboration, they’ll take over the stage with a special live concert, bringing the night to another level.

Only a few places are left for “WAS WIR BAUEN(6+)” with Sanja Frühwald as part of Shake the Break programme, hosted at ! 🎉

What happens when a bridge is made of humans? 🤔
Can a dance become a building plan? 🏗️
And who says architects can’t roll on the floor, laugh loudly, and rebuild the future five times before lunch?

In this playful workshop, children explore building, imagining, moving, connecting, balancing, inventing, dismantling and starting all over again. Bodies become construction sites, movements become blueprints, and ideas grow through dance and collective play. ✨

After the festival is before the festival. 🌞✨

We are still carrying the joy of the last VRUMSTIVAL applause, the dust from the dance floor, the conversations, the laughter, the children, the music… and already new ideas are knocking on the door!

Summer for VRUM is not a pause. It is a different rhythm. A rhythm of dreaming, planning, rehearsing and preparing surprises that will soon travel between Zagreb, Varaždin and Vienna, and then also - beyond!

The first stop: the 11th edition of our is coming to Zagreb and Varaždin this autumn. And Vienna—get ready. New festivities are already growing for 2027. 🌱

Before that, July belongs to - of course - festivals!

Applications are now open!

If you're 18–25 years old and interested in theatre, performance, and international collaboration, apply for .the.room.project – a European exchange programme for emerging artists, students, and performing arts educators.

The programme includes three international residencies in Austria, Germany, and Belgium, as well as artistic workshops, festival visits, professional mentoring, and the opportunity to develop your own creative practice alongside peers from across Europe. The project is funded by Erasmus+.

Every building begins with a first encounter. 🚪

Today we stepped into the rehearsal room for WAS WIR BAUEN / WHAT WE’LL BUILD / SVE ŠTO ĆEMO SAGRADITI—not to find answers, but to listen, play, imagine, and begin building a world together.

Over the next three weeks, we’ll start exploring what we can create through movement, sound, and the unique perspectives each of us brings.

We celebrate DANCE as a space of encounter, exchange, and intergenerational imagination.

At intergenerational collaboration is not an exception — it is a core artistic method. We believe dance grows stronger when bodies of different ages, experiences, and perspectives meet, listen, and move together.

This year’s PLAYTANK was created in collaboration with Zoë Demoustier and Ultima Vez — a living laboratory where ideas, bodies, and generations came together in an open field of experimentation, trust, and play.

PLAYTANK is VRUMs format for shared artistic research. It is a space where professional artists, young people, and children explore movement together, without fixed outcomes or hierarchies. It is a tank of possibilities — where choreography becomes a collective process, and where curiosity leads the way.

We are deeply grateful for this collaboration — for the generosity, openness, sharing, and care that Zoë Demoustier and all the participants brought into every moment of the process. Your artistic trust and openness made our PLAYTANK this year a truly meaningful encounter.
