Georgia Zachari brings SMUTCOMIC to OHOHO! The exhibition will take place in Siva gallery, and the opening will be on 18.9.2025.! The exhibition is intended for a mature audience (+18) 🔞

Georgia Zachari rođena je u Ateni 1994. godine. I dalje živi, crta i čita u istom gradu.
Njen rad obuhvaća sve od adaptacija klasičnih grčkih romana za djecu o čarobnim tigrovima, dosadnim školskim učiteljima i revolucijama (u suradnji s prijateljicom Stellom Stergiou, prema knjigama Alki Zei) do stripova za odrasle (općenito), te feminističke erotske antologijske serije Smutcomic (s nekoliko talentiranih umjetnica iz Grčke ili s njom povezanih). Nedavno je započela i s radom na animaciji, posebno na dokumentarnom filmu Tack (r. Vania Turner, 2024), koji se bavi prvim sudskim slučajem grčkog pokreta.
Posebno ju zanimaju povijest, gradovi, način na koji se gradovi mijenjaju, kako formalna ograničenja stripa mogu dovesti do zanimljivih narativa i hrana. Kad ne stvara stripove, putuje s projektom Meeting of Design Students i iskušava se u različitim dizajnerskim disciplinama.

Georgia Zachari was born in Athens in 1994. She still lives, draws and reads in the same city.
Her work ranges from adaptations of classic greek novels for kids about magical tigers, boring school teachers and revolutions (with her friend Stella Stergiou, based on the books by Alki Zei), to comics for adults (in general), to the feminist erotica anthology series Smutcomic (with several fellow cool artists from or based in Greece). She also recently started working in animation, notably the documentary Tack (dir. Vania Turner, 2024), about the first courthouse case of the greek movement.
She’s particularly interested in history, cities, the way cities change, how the formal limitations of comics can lead into interesting storytelling, and food. When she’s not making comics, she travels around with the Meeting of Design Students, trying her hand in different kinds of design disciplines.

Diplomirala je 2003. na Sveučilištu Furman u SAD-u, a 2007. magistrirala na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu. U radu se kroz strip i slikarstvo bavi prikazivanjem neistražene q***r povijesti.
Neki od stripova uvršteni su u antologiju „Ženski strip na Balkanu“ (Fibra, 2010.).
2011. izdala strip album „Horny D**e na rubu konvencije“ (Q***r Zagreb)
Izlagala je na nizu samostalnih i grupnih izložbi u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu. Dobitnica je nagrade Ex Aequo 20. i 23. slavonskog biennala, a 2009. rad joj je uvršten u likovnu zbirku Erste banke. Od 2010. članica je Hrvatske zajednice samostalnih umjetnika. Živi i radi kao strip autorica i slikarica u Zagrebu.

Born in Osijek, Croatia in 1979. Studied painting at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina (BA) and at the Art Academy in Zagreb (MA).
Her work, which ranges from large-scale paintings to comic-book-inspired drawings, talks about everyday q***r life and how le***an sexuality is presented in the visual media. She works as a freelance painter and comic book author in Zagreb, Croatia.
Some of her comics were published in the Antology “Female comics in the Balkans” by Fibra in 2010. She published a comic album “Horny d**e on the Edge of Convention” with Q***r Zagreb in 2011.

Stjepan Matić (Slavonski Brod, 1995) crta oduvijek, a od 10. godine dodatno se bavi animiranim filmom u sklopu osječkog Doma Tehnike. Da će crtati zauvijek potvrđuje upisom u umjetničku srednju školu (ŠPUDO) 2010. godine. Preddiplomski studij pohađa u Rijeci na APURI 2016.-2020. na studiju Primijenjene umjetnosti. Povratkom u Osijek 2020. godine upisuje AUKOS diplomski studij Ilustracija s kojeg diplomira 2023. stripom Kradljivci Stripova. Crta u svim živim i neživim prigodama. Društveno-umjetnički događaj 24-satno crtanje stripa pohađa od prvog izdanja, 2011. godine. Više p**a uspio je uspješno nacrtati sve 24 table u 24 sata. Izlagao je na više skupnih izložbi, a za svoj kratki strip nagrađen je 2023. godine na Balkanskoj smortri mladih strip autora u Leskovcu. Živi, radi i crta u Osijeku.

Stjepan Matić (Slavonski Brod, 1995) has been drawing since forever, and since the age of 10, he has also been involved in animated film through the Osijek House of Technology. That he would draw forever became clear when he enrolled in an art high school (ŠPUD) in 2010. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka (APURI) from 2016 to 2020, majoring in Applied Arts. Upon returning to Osijek in 2020, he enrolled in the graduate Illustration program at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek (AUKOS), from which he graduated in 2023 with the comic Kradljivci Stripova (The Comic Thieves). He draws in all living and non-living occasions. He has participated in the 24-hour comic drawing event since its first edition in 2011, and has successfully completed all 24 pages within 24 hours on multiple occasions. He has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions, and in 2023, he received an award for his short comic at the Balkan Review of Young Comic Creators in Leskovac. He lives, works, and draws in Osijek.

Fran Strukan (Zagreb, 1990.) je strip crtač koji se vraća na OHOHO s novim albumom "Započetak". Njegov je opus velik, ali naglasimo 2017. godinu gdje s strip autorom Darkom Macanom osvaja dvije Grand Prix nagrade za strip “ Kod urara”, na Međunarodnom Salonu Stripa u Beogradu (Srbija) te na Veleskom festivalu Stripa u Velesu (Makedonija).
Uz šačicu starijih strip autora iz Hrvatske sudjeluje u nezavisnom strip projektu imena “Parlight Starlov”. Njegova epizoda, “Sery” je jedna od 6 epizoda, čije scenarije potpisuje Krešimir Biuk.
Od 2018. radi za Dynamite Entertainment i Panini na naslovnicama za naslove kao što su Deadpool, Daredevil, Hack’n’Slash, Vampirela Barbarella, Project Superpowers,, Army of Darkness te mnogi drugi. Za Dynamite je također nacrtao nekoliko albuma, kao što su Shape of Elvira, Mars Attacks Red Sonja i Red Sonja Attacks Mars.
2022. pokreće malu hrvatsku strip antologiju “Farto”.

Fran Strukan (Zagreb, 1990) is a comic book artist returning to OHOHO with his new album Započetak. His body of work is extensive, but it’s worth highlighting 2017, when together with comic book author Darko Macan he won two Grand Prix awards for the comic Kod urara, at the International Comics Salon in Belgrade (Serbia) and at the Veles Comics Festival in Veles (Macedonia).
Alongside a handful of older Croatian comic authors, he participated in the independent comic project Parlight Starlov. His episode, Sery, is one of six episodes written by Krešimir Biuk.
Since 2018, he has been working for Dynamite Entertainment and Panini on covers for titles such as Deadpool, Daredevil, Hack/Slash, Vampirella, Barbarella, Project Superpowers, Army of Darkness, and many others. For Dynamite, he has also illustrated several albums, including Shape of Elvira, Mars Attacks Red Sonja, and Red Sonja Attacks Mars.
In 2022, he launched a small Croatian comic anthology titled Farto.

Matija Pisačić (HR, 1975) bavi se produkcijom i režijom animiranih filmova, ilustriranjem knjiga i crtanjem stripova. Od 1995. do 1997. djelovao je u umjetničkoj grupi Kolektiv Variete Radikale, objavljujući ilustracije i stripove. Suradnik je dječjih časopisa Šalji dalje i Modra lasta, gdje je zajedno s Krešimirom Zimonićem kreirao strip serijal Vatrene ulice. Od 1999. do 2004. za Modru lastu crtao je strip Svebor i Plamen (scenarij Darko Macan). Ilustrirao je brojne knjige za domaće izdavače, surađuje sa strip magazinom Q i direkcijom Animafesta. Sudjelovao je na izložbama ilustracija i stripova u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu. Od 2019. član je uredništva i stalni autor stripa zina Ohoho!. Trenutno radi na stripu u nastavcima Ozaljske pustolovine Lucije i Žigmunda za Modru lastu. Godine 2025. izlazi strip-album Psihotična mjesečeva sonata (HAS).

Matija Pisačić (HR, 1975) works in animated film production and directing, book illustration, and comic art. From 1995 to 1997, he was active in the art collective Kolektiv Variete Radikale, publishing illustrations and comics. He contributed to children’s magazines Šalji dalje and Modra lasta, where, together with Krešimir Zimonić, he created the comic series Vatrene ulice. From 1999 to 2004, he drew the comic Svebor i Plamen for Modra lasta (script by Darko Macan). He has illustrated numerous books for various Croatian publishers and collaborates with the comic magazine Q and the Animafest organization. He has participated in illustration and comic exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. Since 2019, he has been a member of the editorial board and a regular contributor to the comic zine Ohoho!. He is currently working on the serialized comic Ozaljske pustolovine Lucije i Žigmunda for Modra lasta. In 2025, his latest comic album Psycho Moon Space Abbey (HAS) was released.

Pierre Bouvier, diplomirani strip-autor sa Škole za umjetnost u Angoulêmeu, proveo je oko 30 godina u animaciji. S Laure Calé suosnivač je Ateliera TURUT, francuskog malog izdavaštva koje od 2009. objavljuje eksperimentalne zineove i umjetničke knjige. Njihov magazin Freakshow Comix nominiran je za Nagradu za alternativni strip na Festivalu u Angoulêmeu.

Laure Calé je vizualna umjetnica i grafička dizajnerica. Autorica je serijala Fabulous Mutations, te izdanja Âme et Voisins i The Candidates. Također je autorica i koordinatorica magazina Freakshow Comix.

Pierre Bouvier, a comics graduate from the Angoulême School of Art, spent about 30 years in animation. With Laure Calé, he co-founded Atelier TURUT, a French small press publishing experimental zines and artists' books since 2009. Their magazine Freakshow Comix was nominated for the Alternative Comic Award at the Angoulême Festival.

Laure Calé is a visual artist and graphic designer. She is the author of the “Fabulous Mutations” series, “Âme et Voisins”, and “The Candidates”. She is also the creator and coordinator of the magazine Freakshow Comix.

Anamarija Kvas (HR/AT, 1999.) vizualna je umjetnica koja djeluje u polju autorskog stripa, grafike i novih medija. U fokusu njezina rada su intimne geografske periferije koje oblikuje kroz složene narative i introspekciju prostora, smještenu između dokumentarnog i spekulativnog. Diplomirala je na ALU Zagreb s najvećom pohvalom. Od 2025. godine suorganizira OHOHO Festival, a iste godine objavljuje Mutare (HAS), svoj debitantski strip-album. Dio je kolektiva The Random Factor Comics u kojem djeluju i Anna Júlia Benczédi, Eszter Szép i Ivana Geček.

Anamarija Kvas (HR/AT, b. 1999) is a visual artist active in the fields of authorial comics, printmaking, and new media. Her work focuses on intimate geographical peripheries, which she shapes through layered narratives and the introspection of space, situated between documentary and speculative approaches. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb with highest honors. Since 2025, she co-organizes the OHOHO Festival, and in the same year, she published Mutare (HAS), her debut graphic novel. She is a member of the The Random Factor Comics collective, alongside Anna Júlia Benczédi, Eszter Szép, and Ivana Geček.
