π Special Guest: Rodrigo Delano
Rodrigo Delano started dancing Lambada in 1987.
He is one of the pioneers who lived through the transition from Lambada to Brazilian Zouk and has been actively contributing to the development of the dance community ever since.
Based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Rodrigo became one of the leading teachers of Lambada and Zouk in the region and has organized BH Zouk since 2005, helping generations of dancers discover and grow within the dance.
What many people donβt know is that his scientific journey began alongside this dance journey.
For the past 27 years, Rodrigo has been studying movement, balance and human performance, connecting academic research with the practical challenges dancers experience on the dance floor.
At Croatia Lambada Marathon , he will be conducting an academic study focused on one of the most fascinating topics for dancers:
π« Dizziness during spins and rotations.
His research, titled βReduction of dizziness in continuous spins: comparative analysis between visual and haptic anchoringβ, explores how different strategies may influence balance and spatial orientation during movement.
If youβve ever wondered why some dancers can spin endlessly, why dizziness affects people differently, or how the body adapts to rotational movement, this study may be of particular interest to you.
During the Marathon, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to this scientific research and help advance our understanding of balance, movement and dance performance.
We are honored to welcome not only a researcher, but also a pioneer who has been part of Lambadaβs history for nearly four decades.
Welcome to Tisno, Rodrigo! π
