Iza nas su dva ispunjena dana posvećena zborskoj umjetnosti – od ugodne koncertne večeri u Dioklecijanovim podrumima do edukativnog predavanja na Umjetničkoj akademiji.

Zahvaljujemo svima koji su izdvojili svoje vrijeme, došli nas poslušati i podržati rad naših glazbenika.

Posebna zahvala ide skladateljici čija smo djela imali čast praizvesti. Hvala nizozemskoj gošći Rieteke Hölscher na skladbi Tales of the Pilgrimage te korisnom i zanimljivom predavanju o strukturi u suvremenoj vokalnoj skladbi. Čestitamo i studentici Umjetničke akademije u Splitu Nini Bakić na praizvedbi njene Ave Marije.

Veliko hvala Mješovitom pjevačkom zboru UMAS-a i dirigentici Sari Dodig Baučić, kao i našim gošćama instrumentalisticama: Katarini Evetović (violončelo), Doroteji Hegedus (flauta) i Dorotei Rukavini (violina). Behind us are two days dedicated to choral music - from a pleasant concert evening in Diocletian's Cellars to an educational lecture at the Arts Academy.

We want to thank everyone who took the time to attend and support the work of our musicians.

Special thanks goes to the composer whose works we had the honor to premiere. Thank you to our Dutch guest Rieteke Hölscher for her piece Tales of the Pilgrimage and her insightful lecture on contemporary vocal composition.

STRUKTURA I TENZIJA U SUVREMENOJ VOKALNOJ SKLADBI 📖

Pridružite nam se na inspirativnom predavanju nizozemske skladateljice i pijanistice Rieteke Hölscher u okviru druge večeri 9. SING (in) SPLIT-a! 🎹✨

Rieteke će nam približiti svoj skladateljski svijet u kojem vješto spaja glazbenu povijest sa suvremenim tehnikama, stvarajući zvuk koji je istovremeno inovativan i pristupačan. Otkrijte kako nastaju njezina zborska djela, izvođena od strane ansambala poput onih u Pekingu i Nizozemskoj te kako postići ekspresivnost kroz lirične melodije i proširene vokalne tehnike. 🎼

Ova svestrana glazbenica iza sebe ima bogat obrazovni put – studij klavira (klasičnog i jazza) na Konzervatoriju u Hilversumu te kompozicije na Konzervatoriju u Utrechtu. Njezin rad prepoznat je kroz brojne nagrade i priznanja, uključujući nominaciju za Composition Prize of Muziek Centrum Nederland te nagradu na natjecanju Save the Bassoon.

Posebno su zanimljivi njezini interdisciplinarni projekti poput Il Cibo per La Musica za orkestar mladih te Disturbing Light u kojem spaja elektroniku, živu izvedbu i video art. Njezina inovativnost odvela ju je i do New Yorka, gdje je na Uncaged Toy Piano Festivalu predstavila rad za Robot Toy Piano, prethodno odabran za prestižni Gaudeamus Muziekweek. Njezinu glazbu redovito izvode vrhunski ansambli kao što su Netherlands Radio Choir, Beijing Philharmonic Choir, Kamerkoor Next i Utrechtse Studenten Cantorij.

STRUCTURE AND TENSION IN CONTEMPORARY VOCAL COMPOSITION 📖

Join us for an inspiring lecture by Dutch composer and pianist Rieteke Hölscher as part of the second evening of the 9th SING(in)SPLIT festival! 🎹✨

Rieteke will introduce us to her compositional world, where she masterfully bridges music history and contemporary practice, creating a sound that is both innovative and accessible. Discover how her choral works are created—performed by renowned ensembles such as those in Beijing and the Netherlands—and learn how to achieve expressiveness through lyrical melodies and extended vocal techniques. 🎼

This versatile musician has a rich educational background, having studied piano (classical and jazz) at the Hilversum Conservatory and composition at the Utrecht Conservatory. Her work has been recognized through numerous awards and honors, including a nomination for the Composition Prize of Muziek Centrum Nederland and being a laureate of the Save the Bassoon competition.

Her interdisciplinary projects are of particular interest, such as Il Cibo per La Musica for Youth Orchestra and Disturbing Light, which combines electronics, live performance, and video art. Her innovative approach has even taken her to New York, where she presented her work for Robot Toy Piano at the Uncaged Toy Piano Festival, following its selection for the prestigious Gaudeamus Muziekweek. Her music is regularly performed by top-tier ensembles such as the Netherlands Radio Choir, Beijing Philharmonic Choir, Kamerkoor Next, and Utrechtse Studenten Cantorij.

Od srca hvala svim izvođačima i publici koji su svojim dolaskom, glazbom i entuzijazmom ispunili 8. Međunarodni festival pjesme SING (in) SPLIT i učinili ga posebnim. Ove godine imali smo tri događanja – tri večeri posvećene glasu, tradiciji i umjetnosti – i svaka je zaživjela upravo zahvaljujući vama.

Treća večer SING (in) SPLIT festivala posvećena je edukaciji, jer je upravo promicanje znanja i glazbenog razvoja jedan od glavnih ciljeva našeg festivala.

U sklopu dvodnevne radionice na Umjetnička akademija u Splitu / Arts Academy in Split, dirigent, skladatelj i profesor Enrico Miaroma održao je predavanje na temu Talijanska suvremena zborska glazba te radionicu s mješovitim pjevačkim zborom UMAS-a. 👏

Studenti su imali priliku istražiti različite aspekte zborskog pjevanja i dirigiranja kroz izvedbu i analizu autorskih djela profesora Miarome.

Zahvaljujemo profesoru na inspirativnoj suradnji, znanju i entuzijazmu koji je podijelio sa studentima te se radujemo budućim susretima i zajedničkim projektima. 💙

The third evening of the SING (in) SPLIT festival is dedicated to education, as promoting knowledge and musical development is one of the main goals of our festival. As part of a two-day workshop at the Arts Academy in Split, conductor, composer, and professor Enrico Miaroma held a lecture on Italian Contemporary Choral Music and a workshop with the UMAS Mixed Choir. 👏

Students had the opportunity to explore various aspects of choral singing and conducting through the performance and analysis of Professor Miaroma’s original works.

We thank Professor Miaroma for his inspiring collaboration, the knowledge and enthusiasm he shared with the students, and we look forward to future collaborations and joint projects. 💙

🔹🔷🔹 Predavanje: Talijanska suvremena zborska glazba 🔹🔷🔹

Završavamo ovogodišnje izdanje 8. međunarodnog festivala pjesme SING (in) SPLIT predavanjem posvećenim talijanskoj suvremenoj zborskoj glazbi, koje će održati dirigent, skladatelj i profesor Enrico Miaroma!

Enrico Miaroma je ugledni talijanski glazbenik i profesor na Konzervatoriju u Trentu. Diplomirao je klavir, zborsku glazbu i dirigiranje, glazbenu pedagogiju i kompoziciju, a usavršavao se kod istaknutih skladatelja kao što su Franco Donatoni, Salvatore Sciarrino i Ennio Morricone. Kao pijanist i dirigent održao je više od 800 koncerata diljem Europe, u Ukrajini i na Tajvanu, a njegova su djela objavljena i izvedena širom Europe. Osim toga, umjetnički je direktor nekoliko međunarodnih zborskih natjecanja i festivala. 👏👏

Predavanje će se održati u ovu srijedu, 12. studenoga u 19 sati u dvorani Glazbenog odjela Umjetničke akademije u Splitu, Fausta Vrančića 19.

🔹🔷🔹 Lecture: Italian Contemporary Choral Music 🔹🔷🔹

We conclude this year’s 8th International Festival of Song – SING (in) SPLIT with a lecture dedicated to Italian contemporary choral music, presented by conductor, composer, and professor Enrico Miaroma!

Enrico Miaroma is a distinguished Italian musician and professor at the Conservatorio di Trento (Trento Conservatory). He graduated in piano, choral music and conducting, music education, and composition, and continued his training with renowned composers such as Franco Donatoni, Salvatore Sciarrino, and Ennio Morricone. As both pianist and conductor, he has given over 800 concerts across Europe, in Ukraine, and in Taiwan. His choral works are widely published and performed, and he serves as artistic director of several international choral competitions and festivals. 👏👏

The lecture will take place on this Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00 PM at the Music Department Hall of the Arts Academy in Split, Fausta Vrančića 19.
