Marianna Nardini | Under the Pillow |

📍Manuš, Split
..The video functions as a micro-performance of internal erosion, a visualization of the moment when fantasy sheds its protective shell to expose its underlying vulnerability. It also introduces a somatic inversion, presenting a body that communicates through its own disintegration, through expulsion, through symptom rather than language. Thus, the fantastical register of the story is refracted through the materiality of the oral cavity - a site where both language and pain are formed...

Marianna Nardini | Under the Pillow |

📍Manuš, Split

On view till Jan 30, 2026.

once upon a time, there
was Milk and Honey.
Such a delight, they
made everybody smile!
Except for her, whose
tongue travelled over
rotten gums... A scream
so furious it didn't have
a sound... So she thought
and though...
they became weapons.

Marianna Nardini graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Her work is focused on an investigative approach with a thematic emphasis on ontological, metaphysical, marginal, ambiguous and humorously grotesque areas. She has exhibited her work in a number of solo ("From dust 'till dawn", Dom Mladih, Split, ¨SHUT-IN¨, KUĆĆA, Zagreb, "This empty space without me is my home¨ GMK, Zagreb, "Don't kill the grasshopper", Apoteka, Vodnjan and KUĆĆA) and group exhibitions (“Creeps and butterflies”, Organ Vida, MSU, Zagreb, "37th and 36. Salon of Youth”, HDLU, Zagreb, 63rd Poreč Annale, ¨They told me that the planet has nerve endings¨, Istarska Sabornica, ”Voyeurism”, Galerija Siva, Zagreb)

MATT MULLICAN / PALAZZO DELLA RAGIONE, BERGAMO, ITALY
SOLO EXHIBITION
Marking its 15th anniversary, The Blank is delighted to present That Person’s Heaven, a solo exhibition by American artist Matt Mullican, curated by Stefano Raimondi, at the historic Palazzo della Ragione in Bergamo. The exhibition opens the ArtDate Contemporary Art Festival, supported by the Lombardy Regional Council and the Municipality of Bergamo, which features over forty events in the city of Bergamo, this year revolving around the theme of silence.

The title of the exhibition references That Person: a specific character that Mullican embodies during his hypnosis sessions, an alter ego that does not fully coincide with the artist, yet which inhabits his body and uses his voice. It is an entity expressed through childish gestures, with a language that is apparently unfiltered, at times chaotic, at other times surprisingly lucid. It is precisely in a state of hypnosis that the work is created, presented in its entirety as a monumental 16 x 16-metre square grid, housing thirty-two works of equal size, half in black and white and half in red.

Heimo Zobernig

10. 9. – 31. 10. 2025.
Manuš, Zagreb

Radno vrijeme:
srijeda – petak 16 – 20 h
