Day 1 at SHIP 2026 took us from a morning walk for high school students, exploring the songs featured in "60 otkucaja" by Boris Jokić, to a night of live music across two stages at St. Michael’s Fortress, followed by more music at Azimut.

What’s in store for SHIP 2026?

Mirko Burazer, producer of SHIP, gives us a glimpse of what this year’s edition has in store - across the festival, conference programme and beyond.
From 50 artists performing across eight stages to more than 100 music industry professionals joining the conference programme, this year’s SHIP brings the local and international music scene together in Šibenik.

The first day of SHIP Festival is tomorrow, BUT today is Day 0 - and we’ve got a lot going on! 👀

Hugo Baranger - “Where 2+2=5”

We kick-start the day with a living sound installation combining moss, analogue synthesizers and chess, where photosynthesis powers the music and Mikhail Tal’s chess games become musical scores.

KSET50 EXHIBITION OPENING
GREEN STAGE (front of Azimut) - 20:00-21:00
Fifty years of Zagreb’s legendary student club KSET, seen through the lenses of its Photo Section. The exhibition brings together concerts, festivals, backstage moments and everyday life from the club’s archives.

TAJNA STAROG HRASTA (THE SECRET OF THE OLD OAK)

A nearly 500-page box set telling the story of Milan Manojlović Mance through music, art and personal memories, capturing an artist who defied easy definitions.

Sixty songs from Erik Satie to Patti Smith, each opening up a story about growing up, society and the moments we remember. Jokić turns them into his own version of required reading. One you probably wouldn’t mind being assigned.

To close out Day 0…KSET’s Disco Section brings its signature selections to SHIP, continuing a tradition of DJ sets, themed parties and workshops while warming up for the festival ahead.

⚓️ 23 artists. Double LP. One outside perspective on Croatia’s contemporary music scene. ⚓️

Kevin Cole, legendary KEXP curator and DJ, took a deep dive into Croatia’s contemporary music scene to curate “Croatia on the Move” - a double LP compilation featuring 23 Croatian artists! 🇭🇷

The project brings together a diverse selection of contemporary Croatian music, offering an outside perspective on the artists and sounds shaping the scene today.

“I was truly honored to be asked by We Move Music Croatia to compile this album. Having already featured several Croatian artists on my show, curating this collection offered me the chance to take a deep dive into the country's vibrant contemporary music scene. While the scene is so rich that it would take a box set or two to capture every great artist and band, I did my best to showcase the diversity of sounds on this double album.”, said Kevin.

With its visual identity created by Kazinoti & Komenda Studio, the first copies of Croatia on the Move will be presented at SHIP 2026.
