After a fourth successful festival, winning the Istria Tourist Board Golden Goat (Capra d’Oro) Award for Best Festival in 2016, being one of the 3 finalists shortlisted for the "Tourism Event of the Year“ at the Tourism Days in Lošinj in 2017 and becoming a finalist of the "Conventa Best Event Award 2018“ in Ljubljana as the best B2C Event in 2018, the Poreč Open Air Festival is returning in 2020

to the streets and squares of the town's historic center and Sveti Nikola Island from July to September, when Poreč will once again become a huge open-air stage. Daily programs, great music, movie screenings and theatre plays, special events and concerts will enhance the experiences of the long hot summer and create unforgettable memories for visitors. The festival program comprises four categories: Street Performance, Music Nights, Cinema and Theatre and Special Events, while the festival’s motto is celebrating life, its beauty and enjoying the little things – and what better time to do that than in the summer? The hotel company and main festival sponsor Valamar Riviera has made its mission of “innovatively managing holiday tourism with the goal of creating unforgettable experiences for guests” a reality by launching and becoming the partner of the Poreč Open Air Festival. Valamar’s facilities in the historic center of Poreč and on Sveti Nikola Island create the perfect backdrop for a majority of festival events. The Poreč Open Air Festival is also backed by the host sponsors the Town of Poreč and the Poreč Tourist Board, whose common goal is to constantly improve the town’s reputation as the leading Croatian tourist destination.
