The monumental floor painting unfolds as a geometric field of equilateral triangles in red, white and light blue, extending across the historical wooden floor of the castle. The work abstracts the Croatian chessboard, shifting it from a national symbol towards an ornamental and spatial matrix.

The installation structures movement and perception within the exhibition and establishes a choreographic framework for performances, sculptures and video works.

The video work develops from a minimal performative situation into a reflection on control, observation and decision-making. Positioned in dialogue with the spatial installation, the work extends the exhibition’s investigation of narrative structures through moving image and sound.

Exhibition venue:

Lars Breuer’s triptych reflects narratives of ascent and decline situated between mythological reference, political allegory and contemporary visual language. Three architectural modules echo the proportions of the exhibition wall and translate architectural structure into sculptural form. Text fragments oscillate between abstraction and meaning, between symbol and spatial structure.
