THANK YOU! The 16th summer edition of the Karlovac Dance Festival was a huge success! ✨
This year marked another unforgettable sixteenth summer edition of KDF. From 23 June to 13 July, our city pulsed to the rhythm of contemporary dance. So many of you came to experience and share this special festival edition with us! The dance overflowed like a rhizome, spreading from Kino Edison and the City Museum all the way to hidden spaces under the bridges and the sunny banks of the Korana River.
We want to thank our wonderful audience for growing with us for sixteen years! This season, you passionately explored the boundaries of closeness, stepped into virtual worlds, created your own avatars, and danced under the open sky.

Through our summer programme activities, we successfully celebrated dance and laid the foundations for the new directions awaiting us in the future.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Karlovac, and Karlovac County for their support, recognition, and patronage of this year's summer edition, which was successfully held as part of the " ljeto" programme.
Special thanks go to the staff of Kino Edison and the Karlovac City Museum for their cooperation and partnership. Thanks to your trust and collaboration, Karlovac has once again confirmed its status as an important and recognisable centre for contemporary dance in Croatia. This year, we successfully connected our city’s natural and urban resources – from Kino Edison and the City Museum to the banks of the Korana River – turning them into dynamic stages for domestic and international artists. We offered our audience innovative formats, premium VR dance experiences, site-specific performances, and educational workshops, thereby strengthening the foundations for future development.

The summer edition of the Karlovac Dance Festival was held as part of the Zvjezdano ljeto 2026 programme, with the support of the City of Karlovac and under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Karlovac, and Karlovac County. The official media partner of the festival is HRT3. 📺
