🔵 This Friday, August 28 join us in Monade for the opening (or unfolding?) of the exhibition Preklopljeno i otklopljeno (Folded and Unfolded) at 8pm!

▶️ The work of french-born emerging artist Benoît Delon-Jacquin relies heavily on the variety and specificity of language. Being trilingual himself, the differences in letters,
phrases and pronounciations are what drive his artistic practice into unique typographical solutions, around which he shapes spaces, situations and microhabitats.

🧿 This exhibition offers an insight into the artistic research
started in June 2026 in Zagreb, which developed into a community-based residency including Jelsa’s kindergarteners and local collaborators and artists Luči Plosnić and Suzana Semen. Combining sketches, notes, drawings and lettering, it links Monade gallery, Dobrović House and public spaces into a lively map, utilizing striking imagery to establish a connection between Jelsa’s rich history and child-like visions of the future.

🌀 Monade is the first stop! On Saturday we're unveiling an installation in public space, while on Sunday at 11am you can check out the works of the littlest project collaborators at HDD / OTK.

After last year's time machine, which gently launched us into the golden age of the sixties, Ratko Kožul is once again taking us through musical history this year — with a dose of timeless classics and a fine narrative about the time, people, and context in which the songs that marked the 20th century were created.

This time, accompanied by jazz guitarist Paul Coleman, with whom he will reinterpret some of the most popular compositions and authors of the last century — from Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, and Louis Armstrong to Paul McCartney, Ivo Robić, Jimmy Stanić, and other greats whose songs have long since become part of the collective musical memory.

The archway will feature Vela Gospa - a textile spatial installation depicting the Virgin Mary by artist Gabrijela Mamić created using the crochet technique, to protect us, warm up the summer days and cool the nights.

Sebastian Schund will cook up an eclectic musical feast without a recipe, without secret ingredients, and diverse enough that even bad decisions feel welcome.

VANČO REBAC – WATERCOLORS

Monade warmly invites you to the opening of Vančo Rebac’s exhibition on Thursday, August 6, at 9 PM.

Known for his work at the intersection of painting, illustration, and comics—and as the artist behind Lavanderman, Hvar’s cult comic book superhero created in Jelsa—Rebac now presents a series of watercolors in which the sea, fish, and Mediterranean imagery become a playful dialogue between precision and spontaneity.

The transparency of watercolor, expressive brushwork, and rich color palette reveal an artist who moves effortlessly between drawing and painting, creating scenes that are at once delicate, raw, and full of character.

We look forward to welcoming you for an evening with the artist and to celebrating another summer exhibition at Monade.

Two audiences, one shared energy. 🤍

Our now traditional gathering of Mudri Brk and Monade reminded us once again how meaningful collaborations built on mutual respect and genuine connection can be. When music meets visual art, something greater than a programme is created—a community.

It was also a wonderful encounter and dialogue between two music photographers: Zoran Trbović, the author of the exhibition, and Filip Kovačević, whose beautiful photographs captured the spirit of the evening.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful audiences of and Monade for making this beautiful tradition grow year after year. Your openness, curiosity, and support are what make these evenings so special.

For our fourth birthday, Monade is launching a new programme — Monade Golden Hour: a chance to visit us in the evening, enjoy the sunset, good music and the occasional surprise.

Some Golden Hour events will be reservation-only, such as our Art & W**e evenings and Tastings, while others will be open to everyone, like the very first edition of Sunset Vinyl Café.

As a birthday gift, we received a turntable, so we decided to dedicate the very first edition to legendary jazz and soul records. Feel free to bring some of your favourite vinyls too.
