Roger Waters habla sobre un artículo publicado en The New Stateman en el que se hace alusión a los "HORRIBLES SOLOS DE GUITARRA DE DAVID GILMOUR"

Hay un artículo de mi**da en The New Statesman, escrito, si se le puede llamar escritura, por un tipo llamado Stuart Maconie. Es la tontería habitual, conmovedora y mal informada. Sin embargo, hay, en el artículo, algo sobre lo que necesito dejar las cosas claras. Cuando habla de una nueva grabación que hice de DSOTM, escribe, con una autoridad inmerecida y condescendiente, sobre el proceso de hacer esta nueva grabación, y cito: “Parte de esto implicará que él elimine, como se cita en el periódico español El País. , los “horribles solos de guitarra” de Gilmour.
Ahora, no sé a quién cree que está citando cuando dice los "horribles solos de guitarra" de Gilmour, pero seguro que no soy yo. Estuve allí, me encantan los solos de guitarra de Dave en DSOTM, en ambos, en WYWH y en ANIMALS y en THE WALL y en THE FINAL CUT. En mi opinión, aunque parcial, los solos de Dave en esos álbumes constituyen una colección de algunos de los mejores solos de guitarra en la historia del Rock and Roll. Entonces, Stuart Maconie, pequeño im***il, la próxima vez, por favor revisa tu copia con los temas de tu pequeña pieza sucia, antes de ir a imprimir.

There is a crappy article in The New Statesman, written, if you can call it writing, by a chap called Stuart Maconie. It’s the usual, s**t stirring, ill informed nonsense. However, there is, in the article, something upon which I need to set the record straight. When talking about a new recording I have made of DSOTM, he writes, with an unearned condescending authority, about the process of making this new recording, and I quote, “Part of this will involve him removing, as quoted in Spain’s El Pais newspaper, Gilmour’s “horrible guitar solos”. Now, I don’t know who he thinks he’s quoting when he says Gilmour’s “horrible guitar solos” but it sure as s**t ain’t me. I was there, I love Dave’s guitar solos on DSOTM, both of them, and on WYWH and on ANIMALS and on THE WALL and on THE FINAL CUT. In my, albeit biased view, Dave’s solos on those albums, constitute a collection of some of the very best guitar solos in the history of Rock and Roll. So, Stuart Maconie, you little prick, next time, please check your copy with the subjects of your grubby little piece, before you go to print.
