「Somewhere better than this place / Nowhere better than this place」 - Felix Gonzalez-Torres

David Zwirner is pleased to present Somewhere better than this place / Nowhere better than this place, the first exhibition of Felix Gonzalez-Torres’s (1957–1996) work in Hong Kong. Gonzalez-Torres was one of the most significant artists to emerge in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In its reduced formal vocabulary, conceptual rigor, and evocative use of everyday materials, his work resonates with meaning that is at once specific and mutable, rigorous and generous, poetic and political.

「Anonymous Monuments」 - Ming Ying

Tang Contemporary is proud to present Ming Ying’s solo exhibition “Anonymous Monuments” at Tang Contemporary Art Hong Kong, Central space. The exhibition, curated by Yonni Park and Jeeeun Hong, features 18 remarkable paintings by the artist and will remain on view until December 15.

Ming Ying’s exhibition “Anonymous Monuments” invites us into a world where the female figure emerges not as a singular identity but as a living fabric of history, culture, and emotion. Her paintings, executed in heavy impasto oil, are less about representation and more about embodiment: each layered brushstroke is a visceral act of storytelling, transforming paint into a tactile memory. Within this process, she reconfigures how we perceive female identity—shifting it from personal portraiture to a universal monument.

「Absurd Elegance」 - JPS GALLERY

Galerie j/ is pleased to present “Absurd Elegance,” a compelling exhibition that brings together seven international artists who reveal the hidden frameworks underlying apparent chaos through contemporary art. The exhibition features works by Anouchka Gérard, Dourone, Mao Yu Qiu, Ricko Leung, Simona Mihaela Stoia, Toninho Dingl, and Yizhi Wan. This thoughtful exploration examines the paradoxical relationship between disorder and pattern, demonstrating how artists harness unpredictability as a creative force while discovering the inherent beauty that exists within complexity itself.

「11:11 on Another Planet」 - Fontaine Scarelli

The Hartz Project is proud to present 11:11 on Another Planet, a solo exhibition by American Artist Fontaine Scarelli, at Gaia Art Space Hong Kong.

In the fleeting moments when time seems to glitch, when the clock strikes 11:11, we find ourselves suspended in a space that transcends the ordinary. This exhibition captures that ephemeral feeling—a flicker of connection, a flash of insight, and a moment that dances on the edge of reality.

The artworks featured are unbound by conventional rules or constraints. They are born from a realm where logic yields to emotion, evoking sensations that are both unpredictable and profound. While they lean towards the sci-fi genre, they eschew the typical tropes of rockets and distant planets. Instead, they create a journey through the ethereal landscape of time, memory, and the ineffable—exploring what feels familiar yet remains challenging to articulate.

「In the meantime」 - Yukari Nishi

WKM Gallery is pleased to announce In the meantime, Japanese painter Yukari Nishi’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong.

Renowned for her surreal and psychologically charged compositions, Nishi’s work invites viewers into a world where the boundaries between reality and fantasy dissolve. Featuring a series of all new paintings, this exhibition continues Nishi’s exploration of the surreal as a place that serves as both an escape from, and mirror of, reality.
