WARE is a media arts studio in Hong Kong, established with an aim to drive innovation in art and technology. Varying from electronic gadgets to sensory environments, WARE envisions the future of digital experience. Projects are often made in collaboration across different field, including musicians and artists. Our designs for live performance and exhibition have been shown in Hong Kong, Taipei, Italy and Germany.

親手「編織」你的數碼地毯 🧶✨
Weaving Your Own Digital Carpet

回顧 WARE 去年為香港故宮文化博物館特展「天方奇毯——伊斯蘭與世界文明的交織」打造的「自成一毯」互動體驗。為致敬手工地毯的匠心，團隊精確勾勒每一道伊斯蘭圖案，確保傳統工藝在數碼世界中依然能細膩呈現。

訪客可以在此自由組合邊框與紋飾，見證專屬地毯在屏幕上徐徐攤開。遊戲不僅讓工藝觸手可及，更讓每位訪客能將自己的創作下載成手機桌布，隨身延續伊斯蘭藝術的美學。

To honor the tradition of handmade craftsmanship, WARE rendered every Islamic motif with pixel-perfect precision. Visitors were invited to “weave” their own designs, customizing borders and colors to see their unique pieces unfurl in high-definition texture. The best part? Taking the art home as a personalized mobile wallpaper.

We have all been there: clicking traffic lights and crosswalks just to get through the day. For the M+ Cabinet, we turned that daily annoyance into a high-speed warm-up game!

The mission: Answer 5 questions about the 200+ M+ Collection artworks on display correctly to become a “Verified Player.” Sharpen your eyes, you will need fast observation and big imagination to win. 👁️✨

Watch your score hit the shared projection with fellow visitors. Who knew getting verified could be this fun?

LUMI, where light meets life.
光之所至，生活所在 ✨🌾

LUMI means light, also a vision of radiant living by CapitaLand . For their sales gallery in West Hanoi, Vietnam, WARE designed an immersive entry that allows visitors to step directly into the atmosphere of their future home.

We brought the outdoors in, using sculptural light fixtures to mimic a tranquil walk through a moonlit meadow. This soft, organic illumination guides guests toward a massive curved screen, where the magic of LUMI HANOI truly begins.

LUMI 意指「光」，也是 CapitaLand 對越南河內市西區生活的願景。WARE 為其售樓處打造了一個沉浸式入口，讓訪客在踏入之初便能提前感受到項目的獨有魅力。

空間以深夜池畔漫步為設計靈感，我們利用高聳的燈飾裝置營造出被原野草叢簇擁的大自然氛圍。柔和的光影設計引導訪客走向巨大的弧形屏幕，預見在 LUMI HANOI 生活的藍圖。

On this Lunar New Year’s Eve, our red pocket design is a tribute to Eadweard Muybridge (1817-1903), the pioneer who first captured the galloping horse in motion and changed visual history forever. 📽️

As the Year of the Horse arrives tomorrow, we wish you a night of warmth and a year of unstoppable momentum. Start strong, finish stronger! ✨🧧

Step into the Realm of Hexagrams

從陰陽兩爻的二進制邏輯，演進至六十四卦的宏大哲學，WARE 為大館 .hk 的文化遺產專題展覽《易經：鮑皓昕攝影藝術展》打造專屬互動體驗。訪客可透過電子占卜求得專屬卦象，並領取短箋，在六十四根卦柱間尋覓對應的哲思，感受千年智慧與當下生活的共鳴。

From the binary logic of Yin and Yang to the complex philosophy of the 64 hexagrams, WARE has bridged ancient wisdom with modern interactive design for “Book of Changes: The Art of Basil Pao”, the Heritage Thematic Exhibition at Tai Kwun. Cast a digital hexagram to receive your printed slip, then navigate the forest of 64 pillars to explore its meaning and discover how these ancient insights still resonate in our daily lives.

感知蛛絲黐住枝樹枝 🕷️🕸️ Embody Envision Ensemble

WARE 連續第三年為「賽馬會科藝共融計劃」 .idea 操刀展覽設計與製作！今屆年度展覽《感知蛛絲黐住枝樹枝》從一個趣味十足的急口令出發，帶領大家透過唇舌挑戰連結身體，展開聲音與觸感的對話。

我們特意採用圓形佈局營造流暢的動線，鼓勵觀眾從多角度自由穿梭展場。我們也致力融入無障礙細節，讓不同能力人士都能暢通無阻地探索藝術：
🔸空間友善：規劃輪椅動線及適切的展品高度
🔹視覺友善：優化色彩對比及文字大小

WARE is proud to return for the 3rd year designing for the Jockey Club Project IDEA (Inclusive Digital and Experimental Art)! This year’s annual exhibition “Embody Envision Ensemble” uses a tongue twister to spark a sensory dialogue between sound and touch.

We designed a circle-oriented exhibition to encourage a fluid visitor flow to connect with the artworks from multiple angles. We also hope to empower audiences of all abilities to explore art without barriers, with the following inclusive features:
🔸Spatial: Wheelchair-friendly routes and tailored display heights
🔹Visual: Optimized color contrast and text size

在與 FabriX 的最新合作中，WARE 將「Play, Pose & Pixel」數碼時裝展轉化為一場「虛擬廣東歌迪士高」。🎧🪩 透過即時面部掃描解鎖數碼分身，讓你的身影於 LED 幕牆上盡情舞動。從 80 年代經典到當代流行的廣東歌，讓懷舊與未來時裝在數碼派對中相遇，感受香港永不停歇的生命力。🕺

地毯上的永恆樂園
Unveiling Paradise: The Carpet Experience

香港故宮文化博物館「天方奇毯」展覽其中一件焦點展品，是具有450年歷史的薩法維王朝蘇萊曼一世「打獵」圖地毯，描繪了獅牛搏鬥、蓮花綻放及池塘中游弋的鴨子，象徵著理想化的天堂。

以往地毯多是垂直或平放展示，WARE 這次突破常規，運用巨型曲面投影，以動畫逐層拆解地毯上的天堂世界。觀眾猶如一步步，從外圍花園走進核心的永生樂園。我們亦特地為動畫創作中東音樂，配合並增強整體敘事與氛圍。

One of the most significant exhibits in the Hong Kong Palace Museum’s Wonders of Imperial Carpets exhibition is the masterpiece Shah Sulayman “hunting” carpet, which beautifully symbolises an idealised paradise.

Instead of a traditional vertical or flat presentation of a carpet, WARE utilized a massive curved screen to transform this exhibit into a dynamic narrative. Using animated flora and fauna, we deconstructed the carpet’s world, leading visitors step-by-step from the periphery garden to the eternal paradise at the core.

This immersion extends beyond sight: we composed mysterious Middle Eastern music to complement the visual journey, creating one continuous, stunning experience flow.

More Than a Game: A New Way to See Art at M+

Have you visited The Cabinet at M+? WARE redesigned the interactive experience for this open storage gallery with 200 collection artworks. Our enhancements make it easier for visitors to engage with the collection and share their perspectives.

最近到訪M＋博物館，有留意到一個名為「匣子」的展廳嗎？這是一個數碼互動體驗的開放式藏品庫，展出逾200件M+館藏，並引導訪客觀賞和分享對藝術品的看法。WARE早前為M+重新設計了互動體驗，讓遊戲節奏更易於掌握，引導訪客觀賞和分享對藝術品的看法。

【1:1 Recreation of the Most Prestigious Reception Room 1:1重現最有氣派的會客室】

For the “Wonders of Imperial Carpets” exhibition, WARE brought one of the Museum of Islamic Art’s most stunning exhibits—the 19th century Damascus Room, to Hong Kong with a 1:1 multimedia recreation. We reproduced the room with detailed wall projections of precious vessels and gold ornaments, guests and musicians, and simulated sunlight filtering through windows to create a truly immersive atmosphere.

Most remarkably, we transformed the experience. While the original room in Doha can only be viewed from a distance, our recreation at the Hong Kong Palace Museum invites visitors to step inside, sit down, and travel back in time, fully experiencing the life of 19th-century nobility.

WARE為《天方奇毯──伊斯蘭與世界文明的交織》展覽，以1:1多媒體裝置重現卡塔爾多哈伊斯蘭藝術博物館的「大馬士革廳」。我們以投影還原華麗的裝潢與鍍金窗邊，貴族的私人珍藏，賓客與樂師的活動光影，結合模擬日光效果，重塑19世紀大馬士革富家住宅的宴客廳。

在多哈的展廳只可遠觀；但在香港故宮博物館，我們誠邀觀眾親身步入接待室安坐，感受時光流逝，體驗精緻奢華的款客排場。
