【French May Community Performance 🇫🇷 Highlights】
As part of French May Arts Festival, MYO musicians visited Hong Kong Red Cross Princess Alexandra School, bringing together French music and the story of The Little Prince to explore themes of friendship, cherishing what matters most, and personal growth with the students.

From the rose and the little planet to the courage it takes to step beyond our comfort zones, each piece of music invited students to listen closely and discover their own images and stories within the journey.

A heartfelt thank you to the school's teachers and students for their enthusiastic participation. We hope everyone continues to keep their inner Little Prince alive, stay curious about the world, and discover more people and moments worth treasuring. 🌹✨

天空之城、龍貓、星球大戰、加勒比海盜，再加米高積遜金曲組曲！一場帶大小朋友穿梭動畫、電影同經典流行音樂世界嘅管弦樂音樂會。

除咗 Beginners Program 同 Metropolitan Pop & Jazz 團員演出外，多位團員亦會帶來獨奏及小組合演出，同大家分享佢哋最喜愛嘅音樂。

【Instrument Petting Zoo & Music Art-venture 🎠 Recap】
Every child’s musical journey begins differently. Sometimes it’s the moment they ask to try an instrument one more time. Sometimes it’s when they stop to listen closely to a particular sound. And sometimes it’s the sparkle in their eyes as they watch a live performance. These little moments often tell us more than we realise.

當日最有趣嘅，可能就係小朋友嘅反應 👀 喺 HakGwai Lau 嘅世界音樂演出中，好多小朋友都係第一次近距離接觸來自世界各地嘅聲音；有啲望住樂器發呆，有啲跟住節奏輕輕郁動，仲有啲不停問：「呢個係咩聲？」亦有小朋友睇完哥哥姐姐嘅古典音樂演出之後，忍唔住話：「佢哋好叻呀！」

多謝每一位陪住小朋友一齊感受多元音樂嘅家長。希望大小朋友喺音樂會之後，都帶住多啲好奇離開，發現原來音樂可以比想像中更自由、更有畫面 ✨

【Highlights from the Classical Playground 🌍】
One of the most enjoyable parts of the day was probably watching the children’s reactions 👀 During HakGwai's world music performance, many children were experiencing sounds from different parts of the world up close for the very first time. Some stared at the instruments in fascination, some gently moved along with the rhythm, while others kept asking, “What sound is that?” After watching the older students perform classical music on stage, some children couldn’t help saying, “They’re so amazing!”

Thank you to every parent who joined their children in experiencing the richness of diverse musical worlds together. We hope both children and parents left the concert with a little more curiosity, discovering that music can be far more free, imaginative, and full of possibilities than they ever expected ✨

As part of the French May Arts Festival, MYO will present a performance where music and storytelling come together, creating an experience filled with French charm and imagination. 【玩轉世界音樂🌍】
一場由古典延伸到世界音樂嘅體驗，等小朋友聽得更多、感受更深。

《Classical Playground》邀請黑鬼 HakGwai，將澳洲吹管、手碟、馬頭琴、梵音喉唱、印地安笛、西非沙錘等世界各地嘅聲音帶到同一個舞台，畀小朋友認識唔同文化嘅聲音特色，打開對音樂嘅想像。

當小朋友親身聽過、接觸過，自然會對音樂多一份理解，一齊放低框架，學習聆聽、欣賞，亦慢慢建立屬於自己嘅審美同表達方式。

同場仲有青少年樂手演出古典音樂，將平日所學帶上舞台，呈現他們對音樂嘅理解同詮釋。

【A World of Music, One Stage 🌍】
A musical experience that begins with classical and opens into a wider world of sound, allowing children to hear more and feel more deeply.

In ""Classical Playground"" concert, we are delighted to invite HakGwai, who will bring a rich palette of sounds to the stage, including the Didgeridoo, Handpan, Morin Khuur, Khoomei, Drone Flute, and Asalato. Through these sounds, children can discover the unique musical expressions of different cultures and expand their imagination of what music can be.

Through firsthand listening and exposure, children naturally learn to listen, appreciate, and gradually build their own sense of aesthetics and expression.

The concert will also feature young musicians performing classical repertoire, bringing what they have learned onto a real stage and turning it into meaningful performance experience.

Join your child in exploring music from different cultural perspectives, and discover the many possibilities music has to offer.

喺音樂學習入面，我哋習慣用眼去睇指揮、睇樂譜、睇舞台。但如果，將「睇」抽走，會發生咩事？

《Music in the Dark》早前一場體驗，收到好多家長同觀眾嘅正面回應。今次再次舉辦，讓年輕樂手喺全黑環境中，重新建立對聲音、專注，同彼此之間嘅信任。

現場將由視障引路人擔任工作人員，協助帶領參加者；並邀請視障小提琴家丁怡杰演出同分享，讓大家喺體驗過程中，更貼近理解視障人士嘅日常同音樂歷程。

【What if a concert had no lighting at all? 💡】
In music learning, we are used to relying on our eyes to follow the conductor, read the score, and watch the stage. But what happens when we take “seeing” away?

Following a previous session that received very positive feedback from parents and audiences, "Music in the Dark" returns. In a completely dark environment, young musicians are invited to rebuild their awareness of sound, concentration, and trust in one another.

Visually impaired guides will be part of the event team, assisting participants throughout the experience. The concert will also feature special guest, visually impaired violinist Ding Yijie, offering participants a closer understanding of the daily lives and musical journey of the visually impaired.

Through this experience, we hope to offer more people the opportunity to experience a different kind of concert. You can set aside visual cues, connect with music in a new way, and share the experience with your child through listening and feeling 🖤

唔知小朋友真正喜好？會唔會太早開始？學咗幾堂就話唔想學？其實呢啲問題，往往都冇一個標準答案。

有啲小朋友，未真正接觸過音樂，就已經開始學樂器。對佢哋嚟講，如果一開始就太正式，過早著重睇音符同技巧，未必容易適應。

如果喺學樂器之前，先用有趣方式同音樂做朋友，慢慢接觸同感受，會更有助於理解同發展。

《樂器探索樂園》親子音樂體驗活動以兩日體驗形式進行，家長可以陪住小朋友，一齊試、一齊聽、一齊玩。透過節奏遊戲、樂器互動同創作，你會見到小朋友點樣回應聲音、或者對邊種樂器特別情有獨鍾。呢啲觀察，往往比任何評估都更真實！

【Instrument Petting Zoo 🎡 New Session Added】
Which instrument does your child connect with? Is it too early to start? Why do some children lose interest after just a few lessons?

In reality, there isn’t a single right answer to these questions.

Some children begin learning an instrument before they have had the chance to truly experience music.

For young children, starting in a highly structured way and focusing early on reading notes and technical skills may not always be the most engaging approach. Instead, allowing them to first connect with music in a fun way through exploring, listening, and feeling often leads to a more natural and meaningful beginning.

The Instrument Petting Zoo is a parent-child music experience designed as a two-day programme. Parents can join their children to explore, listen, and play together. Through rhythm games, instrument interaction, and creative activities, you will be able to observe how your child responds to sound and discover which instruments they feel especially drawn to. These moments often reveal far more than any formal assessment.
