The great legendary Robert Wilson, Honorary IATL Member, has passed away. He will always be remembered as the bold, original, unique leader of experimental theatre. May he rest in peace. His cultural legacy will always be alive. His extraordinary stage images will never be forgotten.

๐ŸŽญ IATL is pleased to share the outcome of the meaningful academic and artistic journey undertaken by our and Silvia Rigon โ€” Italian dramaturg, curator, and project designer โ€” who completed her Internship at the renowned Shakespeare Institute under the mentorship of ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ ๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐š๐ž๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐จ๐›๐ฌ๐จ๐ง.

This research-based residency led to the creation of ๐‘ต๐’๐’•๐’†๐’” ๐’‡๐’๐’“ ๐‘ป๐’Š๐’•๐’–๐’” ๐‘จ๐’๐’…๐’“๐’๐’๐’Š๐’„๐’–๐’”, a performance co-authored with renowned designer and architect ๐๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ญ๐š๐ณ๐ณ๐ข. The work engages critically with Shakespeareโ€™s first tragedy โš”๏ธ๐Ÿฉธ, exploring its intersections of violence and irony through a compelling monologue form.

Drawing on visual and sonic materials collected in Stratford-upon-Avon, the piece serves as a โ€œ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ฏ๐žโ€ โ€” a compelling example of how academic inquiry can shape and inspire contemporary performance-making. ๐Ÿช„
