呢張作品係我今年五月中去完日本之後畫嘅。相入邊影嘅其實就係日本上高地田代池出面影返個雪山。原本係想畫多啲雪嘅雪山嘅，點不知去到天氣開始變熱啦，咁啲雪都溶咁啲啦。當時正值春天，我將佢前面嗰啲禿樹畫返多少少葉就變成而家你哋見到呢幅畫咁樣樣啦。但我都不忘將佢有啲淺色嘅樹幹係洗返返出嚟，做返個層次感。
This artwork was painted after my trip to Japan in mid-May this year. The photo was actually taken outside Tashiro Pond in Kamikochi, capturing the snowy mountain in the background.
Originally, I wanted to paint a snowier mountain, but by the time I arrived, the weather had started to get warmer, so some of the snow had already melted. Since it was spring at the time, I added a bit more foliage to the bare trees in the foreground, which turned it into the painting you see now.
But I still remembered to lift out some of the lighter tree trunks to create a sense of depth and layering.
