【2023 - 2024 設計光譜年度回顧】
設計光譜於今年度繼續於深水埗區舉辦展覽和活動。由2023年尾的「再度時尚」，到2024年橫跨半年的「接棒未來」，吸引不少市民大眾前來參觀，從時尚和傳承角度讓大眾認識好設計，更為香港設計中心進駐深水埗打下深厚基礎。
作為香港設計中心面向公眾的獨特平台，設計光譜累積了不少經驗，更成功接觸到各區公眾人仕，把設計帶入他們的日常生活。踏入2024年，香港設計中心亦踏入另一個重要里程碑。隨著新地標DX設計館正式全面對外開放，透過舉辦不同展覽和各式各樣的活動，令公眾有更多機會接觸並感受設計的力量。
在此再一次感謝文創產業發展處、每個策展團隊、設計師、支持機構及公眾的支持。大家可繼續於設計光譜網頁回顧過去的每一個展覽，亦歡迎大家親臨DX設計館，發掘更多設計的無限可能！
【2023 - 2024 of Design Spectrum】
Design Spectrum continued to hold exhibitions and activities in Sham Shui Po this year. From ‘Re: Full Gamut’ in late 2023, to ‘Pass The Baton’ which spanned half a year in 2024, these exhibitions attracted many visitors, let public to appreciate good designs from fashion and inheritance aspects, laid a foundation for Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) to establish in Sham Shui Po.
As the unique public face of HKDC, Design Spectrum accumulated numerous experiences and successfully engaged the public from different districts, integrating design into their daily lives. In 2024, HKDC also reached another important milestone. Following the opening of the DX design hub, the public will have more opportunities to experience the power of design through various exhibitions and events.
Once again, we would like to thank CCIDA, all curation teams, designers, supporting organisations, and the public for your tremendous support. You can now revisit every exhibition of Design Spectrum on our website, and we invite everyone to explore the infinite possibilities of design at DX design hub!

【接棒未來】重溫展覽精彩內容！
「接棒未來」展覽橫跨去年5月至11月，分為三大部分接續探索事物的多面性，從有形及無形的層面深入探討「傳承」概念。展覽聚焦深水埗區，由第一部分「過界」及第二部分「超頻」於D2 Place揭開序幕，將「傳承」的探索延伸到DX設計館。再一次感謝策展團隊、各設計師、合作單位和市民大眾的鼎力支持。

【Pass The Baton】 Enjoy The Exhibition Highlight!
Divided into three parts, the ‘Pass The Baton’ exhibition aims to reveal the all-round value of things, and explore the concept of ‘inheritance’ from tangible and intangible perspectives from May to November 2024. The exhibition focused on Sham Shui Po district, Part 1 of the exhibition: ‘From Passing By To Passing On’ and Part 2 of the exhibition: ‘From Process To Progress’ kicked off the theme at D2 Place, extending the exploration of ‘inheritance’ to DX design hub. Thank you once again to the curation team, designers, supporting organisations and everyone for taking part in this exhibition.

【接棒未來】「傳檔」四大面向：體驗
設計師透過用戶體驗傳遞比其他面向更深層次的交流。韓國設計師Jinhyun Jeon 設計的一系列顛覆固有認知的感官餐具，挑戰餐具應用的界限，藉由感官聯覺概念所啟發的食具來激發人體全新的感官體驗。 HiTENCHO 是次作品 Alvin Chair 將聲波振動視覺化，根據水的流動和振幅凝聚成圖案。秉持「打造屬於自己的竹工藝品」的理念，香港設計品牌二回 .co致力透過舉辦各種竹編工作坊及製作竹編材料包推廣竹編工藝。

【Pass The Baton】 'From Future To Now' Four Perspectives: Experience
Designers convey a deeper level of communication through user experience than is otherwise possible. Korean designer Jinhyun Jeon has designed a series of sensory tableware that defies conventional perceptions, challenging the boundaries of tableware applications and stimulating new sensory experiences through the concept of sensory associations with eating utensils. HiTENCHO’s work Alvin Chair visualises the sonic vibration, which coalesces into a pattern according to the movement and amplitude of water. With the concept of 'Make Your Own Bamboo-Work,' Yiwooo aims to promote bamboo craft to a wider audience through its workshops and bamboo craft kits.

【接棒未來】展覽第三部分「傳檔」
倒數最後6日！「接棒未來」第一部分「過界」及第二部分「超頻」早前分別於五月及七月成功舉辦，先為展覽帶來序幕及奠定探索基礎，繼而引領探討設計如何因應時代的不同需要將傳承過程進化。而壓軸的第三部份「傳檔」將繼續遊走於充滿活力的深水埗區。「傳檔」是第一和第二部分的接續及延伸，展示設計如何能提升傳承價值的可見性，開拓於不同情況下保存和應用的可能性。誠邀公眾參與，一同以新思維將好事物傳承下去。

【Pass The Baton】Part 3 of the exhibition: ‘From Future To Now’
Countdown to the last 6 days! Earlier in May and July, Part 1 of the exhibition: ‘From Passing By To Passing On’ and Part 2 of the exhibition: ‘From Process To Progress’ were launched successfully, first acted as a prologue to laid the foundations for exploration and then led to discussion on how design elevates a standard process to progress in response to different needs.
The finale Part 3 of the exhibition: ‘From Future To Now’ will continue the exploration in the vibrant district of Sham Shui Po. As a continuation and an extension of the first two parts, ‘From Future To Now’ will showcase how design can enhance the visibility of the value of inheritance, also opening up possibilities for preservation and adaptation in different scenarios, creating a cohesive and comprehensive experience. 【接棒未來】蚱蜢
據估計，中國每年產生約1800萬噸陶瓷廢料。為使產業可持續發展，禕設計@yidesigngroup開始研發回收陶瓷廢料。設計師尹一運用禕設計的新型陶瓷材料結合三維立體打印技術設計出吧枱，展示回收能賦予陶瓷廢料新生命的潛力。
倒數最後9日，一同來感受「傳檔」展覽的多元價值和設計的魅力！

An estimated 18 million tons of ceramic waste are produced in China every year. Yi Design started developing recycled ceramic material to make the industry more sustainable. Combining 3D printing technology, Karl Yin designed a bar table model with Yi Design‘s new ceramic material, showcasing the potential for giving new life to recycled ceramic waste.

【接棒未來】Kouéno | 材料開發 開闊可持續發展設計出路
來自法國的設計師Lucas Hosteing收集業界常被視為廢料的原木板皮（Slabwood），巧妙設計出Kouéno空心柱形家具作品系列，把樹幹邊緣一面向內卷成筒狀，伸手入中空設計觸摸到不規則的獨特樹皮質感，而打磨平滑的一面向外，讓家具維持實際作用的同時，保存材料的天然特性，為可持續發展設計帶來全新體驗和出路。

【Pass The Baton】Kouéno | Material Development: A Way Forward for Sustainable Design

French designer Lucas Hosteing's Kouéno collection of hollow column furniture challenges the traditional display function of slabwood. Hosteing collects slabwood, normally treated as waste in the industry, and rolls the edge of the log inwards to create a cylindrical shape. The hollow design allows users to touch the unique, irregular bark texture inside, while the smooth, polished side faces outwards, preserving the natural characteristics of the material while maintaining the practical function of the furniture. The displaying Kouéno offers a fresh perspective and new possibilities for sustainable design.
