Dove Tales Theatre Company is Hong Kong’s premier children’s theatre company. We specialize in drama workshops, small and large-scale school productions, and performing English language musicals and dramas for students of all ages and levels. Each year we work with over 60,000 students and 200 schools. Through our drama workshops, our main goal is to help the students build life skills such as con

fidence, teamwork, problem solving, empathy and English through drama. We strive to create an environment where the students are encouraged to take risks and understand the best way to grow as a person is to make mistakes. We offer 26 original English language touring theatre shows based on classic English literature, fairy tales and stories from the Bible to students of all ages and levels. All of our shows are highly interactive and flexible depending on the English level of the audience.

We had the incredible opportunity to be guest lecturers at The Education University of Hong Kong, where we worked with over 50 master’s students exploring how drama can be used as a powerful tool to teach English.

Together, we focused on creating safe, supportive spaces where students feel confident to take risks, using the body to unlock language, and building practical strategies that teachers can bring straight into their classrooms. It was inspiring to see such passionate future educators fully engage, step outside their comfort zones, and experience the impact of learning through drama firsthand.

We are always grateful for opportunities like this to share what we do and connect with educators who are just as excited about making learning more active, meaningful, and fun.

We are so excited to share this wonderful review of our latest performance of Mulan.

”Dove Tales’ production of Mulan was a vibrant, high-energy success on 20/3/26 that brilliantly bridged the gap between performers and the audience. While the storytelling was compelling, the show’s true magic lay in its interactive spirit. A highlight was the clever casting of students as spies for the invading army; this immersive choice kept the young audience on the edge of their seats, turning them from passive observers into active participants in Mulan’s journey. The energy reached a fever pitch when teachers were invited onto the stage to dance and cheer. Seeing their teachers join the celebration created a shared sense of joy that echoed throughout the hall. Dove Tales deserves high commendation for their ability to balance the weight of Mulan’s bravery with such inclusive, lighthearted moments.
