Live music is ephemeral. Record the moment to preserve the memories of a great night.

How this started:

After moving to Hong Kong in 2006, the schedule of this hectic city pushed opportunities to take photos more and more towards Fridays and Saturdays night, later and later. And while the cityscape offers dramatic views, the truly moving images can be captured in the live music scene here.

Since most bands have to make do with cellphones to record their events - which are just as inadequate to record the images as the sound - the drive to find subjects for the camera and the need for better music documentation found it's perfect match.
