HKBU AD Visual Arts Exhibition 2019 The exhibition theme is ‘Pacing’, 37 students are exhibiting their photography and sculpture works.

They look for potentialities through continuous introspection, self-realisation and exploration of the unlimited possibilities within themselves.

Sometimes I think I'm contradictory, when I am looking at others, I think all of them have the elements of beauty, however I never think I do. I am born with a female identity, but I admire the male characteristics more. Based on this, I always want to conduct a project which is talking about beauty, about gender.

Size Variable

The obsession with the brush means my dependence on painting. My stubbornness with the drumstick means my love for the music of the drums. My life is somewhere between those two things. When emotions come, they can only be expressed by waving the brush and the tip of the stick. My love for both of them makes me combine them, making the impossible possible. Let this be the perfect combination, to paint a picture, produce a rhythm: that is the practice mat that has accompanied me for many years, and the rhythm that I am most familiar with. These are the two most important things in my life.

對畫筆的著迷，意味我對繪畫的依賴；對鼓棍的執著，意味我對鼓樂的鍾愛。我的生活就在這兩件事之間遊走。情緒來到，唯有揮動畫筆和棍尖才能把情感揮出。對兩者的愛，造就我把它們結合，把不可能變成可能，讓這個完美的結合，繪一幅畫，敲一段節奏：那是陪伴我多年的練習墊，和我最熟悉的節奏。 這是我生命中最重要的兩件事。

When I get to tell you I love you, you couldn’t even answer. It could be that saying I love you is more than difficult, trying to hold your and walk with you. But in my heart I ache “please don’t go”. I can’t ever hear your kind words, nor will I ever see you again. Losing someone makes you want to cherish what you’ve lost, but what’s gone is gone. It might be cliche, but only those who lost someone can understand..

當能向你說聲我愛你時，你卻不覆半句。也許說聲愛你很困難，嘗試牽著你的手陪你走完這段路，但心裡只想說一句「別要別離。」再也聽不到你一聲問候，再也看不到你的身影。失去令人懂得珍惜，但一切都來不及了。珍惜這個是詞彙老生常談，卻只有經歷過的人才真正明白。

Since I was in secondary, I had been the member of Hong Kong fencing team, however, because of different pressure and my will to find a more comfortable road, I quit the fencing team. As that time, I was young and too naive to follow through to my hobby, then I have been repentant about it. ‘Radio’ tells people not to give up easily, leave things from comfort, thus, do not making us regret easily.

曾遺憾經成為了香港劍撃隊的成員，但因有各種壓力而要找出自己舒適的路就退出劍擊隊。當時年少無法堅持自己喜愛的運動，變成了一個遺憾。《收音機》叫人不要輕易放棄，為了舒適就留遺憾。

Set of 12, 15.3 x 23 cm for eight and 19.7 x 39 cm for four

The artwork “missing” is about my mother, she is now staying in the hospital. I started recordIng the life with my family after she became "missing”. I initially thought that my family and I cannot face the fact, but the records that I have taken, including the photos and videos result that we still live normally after she is “missing”. To adapt this transition, the pattern of my family life has been changing after my mother started staying in the hospital and we get the important message, “we still need to live even though something there is missing”.

“失踪”是關於我的母親，她現在住在醫院。 我在她的“失踪”之後開始記錄家人的生活。起初，我認為我的家人和我都無法面對這個事實和正常地生活。然而，我發現所有的記錄都是她“失踪”後的結果，所有相片及影片都表明我們仍然能夠正常生活。當我的母親開始留在醫院時，這件事令我的家人和我需要改變生活模式以適應這件事。重要的是要注意，有一條信息“我們仍然需要生活，不管有什麼東西失去”。

The apple, which most religions called as mystical fruit, symbolizes power, evil and materialism.
We used to say "an apple a day keeps the doctor away".
But arsenic lies under the bright apple,
Can be fatal if in long-term use.
And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."(Genesis 3:13)

蘋果，大多宗教稱為神秘的果實，象徵著權力、邪惡及物慾。
亦有指「一日一蘋果 醫生遠離我」。
在鮮豔的蘋果背後卻含有砒霜（毒藥），
雖不即時致命，
長期服用便會有生命危險。
「那蛇引誘我、我就喫了」《聖經：創世紀3:13》
