Louis has been involved in various projects such as RNCM Brass Band Festival, RNCM Wind Orchestra and RNCM Brass Band, where he has also been featured as one of the soloists in the RNCM Brass Band Lunchtime Concert in October 2022. Outside of college, he was one of the sixteen semifinalists in the renowned Jeju International Brass Competition 2022 (euphonium category). He was also the winner of the Pemberton Old Wigan DW Band Solo Contest 2024 (Open Class). Louis received his Bachelor of Music degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2020, where he studied euphonium and trombone performance under Mr. He was named to the Dean List of the Faculty of Arts in the academic year 2019-20. As a lower brass player, Louis has been an active player in various chamber and orchestral groups both in the UK and Hong Kong. He is the founding member of The Fingertips Quartet (UK) and The Versatile Euphonium Ensemble (HK), in which The Fingertips Quartet was one of the finalists in the RNCM Philip Jones Brass Prize 2022.
Currently based in Manchester, Louis is an active euphonium player among the brass band scene. Louis is currently the solo euphonium player of Rainford Silver Band, which came third in Scottish Open Championships 2022. He was awarded both Players' Player of the Year and MD's Player of the Year award in 2024. He is also performing as guest player with different brass bands such as Wingates Band, Hammonds Band, Hepworth Band and Golborne Band.
