(Please scroll down for English)

Studio 301 will officially open its doors on May 1st, and in the future, we will invite various artists to host workshops, sharing their artistic journeys and practices. And the first artist to be featured is the dance artist, P*k Kei Wong. Here are the details:
Connecting Body and Mind - P*k Kei's Body Philosophy
About the Workshop:
As a solo dancer, P*k Kei explores how to communicate with her body and establish a profound connection between body and soul on her creative journey. In this workshop, P*k Kei aims to share her insights and experiences.
At the beginning of the class, we will use Tai Chi Dao Ying to warm-up, and get blood flowing, particularly to the joints. Tai Chi Dao Ying is also a type of moving meditation, which allows us to bring our body and mind to the present, preparing our focus for the class.
After the warm up we will develop some simple dance combinations, during this practice we will focus on muscle training, while beginning to develop our imagination of space. Imagining space allows us to use our muscles at a deeper level.
Progressively we will introduce Butoh materials and use these as the basis to fully develop our imagination. In the imaginative session, we use the body as a vessel to communicate and transmit information, allowing for autonomy and improvisation in each exercise. Through this class you will focus on improving muscle capabilities and spatial imagination so that the body can transmit information more effectively.
